If you have no idea what it is or do not have the reflexes then it will get majority of ninja's. There are however counters like bunshins and others.

Lets not get ahead of ourself with these amaterasu threads because at any time ill take a massive chunk out of ftg which has more weaknesses. Ftg has been overrated since the beginning of time more so than amaterasu

I can tell you that i've seen some people saying that Amaterasu could kill Madara, maybe not SO6P but Madara yes. I don't have time to check it, maybe if i find it, i'll show you

Technically it can beat most of the people that it touches, but some of them like Nagato have a way to get rid of it, and if they react quick enough they might just live.
Hashirama, who can grow trees out of his body could survive.
Madara with rinnegan.
Nagato again with rinnegan.
