Now that's where you're wrong. As Hogomoro said, it's the end of the world. More lives will be saved sure. And then what? With everyone wrapped up in the tree there will be no procreation, no future generations to live "the dream" The tree is going to use up everyone's chakra then they die with no one left to reproduce, the population of the world ends in the dreamworld.
See what just happened? Those selfish and weak willed desires just caused the end of the world for humanity.
Living in that dreamworld is ultimately very selfish. It means you care only for your own desires and not about the consequenses that are wrought from living in such a world. Whether you know it's real or not is irrelevant.
The reality of it is, with no one left to live and breed in the real world, all of humanity ends there.

Obviously you've never seen the Matrix.
As a side point, good, humans need to go extinct. They're literally the worst thing to happen to Mother Earth. We're the one child she should've aborted.

It's better in my opinion to live in a world where I must fight for my freedom or I don't rather than living in a lie because one man doesn't feel like a winner.

Actually I did. The difference is the miachines were using us as a source of energy. The Shinju tree is just reclaiming what belonged to it. It's chakra. Eventually all those humans will die and no one will be left to replace them. Then what?
You're thoughts on humanity are somewhat disturbing honestly. You are one of those guys who simply focus on the negative aspects of humanity completely refusing to see the potential of existance because of all the wars, bloodshed, etc. Comapared to Gaia herself human kind is still very much a baby and babies make lots of mistakes before getting things right.
I choose to believe that someday we raise above all this (if we do not destroy ourselves 1st) The thing you lack the most...is faith in your own kind. You are not the only one and that is sad. really
You did. The shinju attaches those humans to its root and uses their chakra to continually perpetuate their illusion. What happens when the chakra well runs dry?

In this page Hogoromo explains that the tree uses everone's power to keep them in IT forever until their chakra becomes one in which a fruit will then bloom.
Now this is assumption on my part but that could mean that once their chakra has been fully reintergrated back into the tree and becomes one their is nothing left of the hosts.

Even if it just feeding them chakra. Hunams aren't immortal they will age and die and without procreation no new humans will be created for the tree to replace those who died of old age. The same situation still applies. When all humans die there is nothing left.

regarding the Matrix, the machines constructed a way to farm humans. It's not completely out of the question to assume the Shinju can do something similar, to keep humanity going, or however you wish to phrase it.
Disturbing? I see. So differring views automatically results in one's side as being negative. What's sad is your lack of understanding--opinions as subjective--and your hubris, the same hubris that will drive most humans to believe in what you say.
Look past yourself and your species for a moment and let's ponder some things really quickly. (Here is where I'll direct you to watch a lot of TedTalks videos, really whichever ones grab your attention)
Humanity will destroy itself within the century #fact unless we change. My "negativity" is needed if we wish to see a change and wish to see our children live in a world worth living in. The current population boom in Africa holds the key, imo, to humanity's demise. doubling its population from 1 billion to 2+ billion will not speak well for Africa's wildlife, jungles, and the atmosphere as a whole.
Said population will need jobs because that's what we tell everybody, they can't be a member of society unless they have jobs. So now construction will commence and technology will boom in Africa.
This is where is goes to shit. Once Africa gets modernized, the already exponentially increasing co2 rates in the air will increase even more rapidly. Fishing is estimated to make 99% of all the fish we fish for to go extinct within half a century. This is the medium sized fish. Without the medium sized fish to regulate the smaller fish, the plankton that regulate co2 in the atmosphere will go unchecked, die, and form complete waste zones all over the ocean where no life can be sustained.
Can't you see, for the sake of the Earth and the creatures and life we share it with, everything would be better if we weren't around... UNLESS we do something about it. Unfortunately our egos won't allow that. Sigh

there is a huge problem with infinite tsukiyomi, if everyone stays trapped it's the end of the world. sure you get what you always wanted, but then what? everyone trapped in the genjutsu will eventually die. sure the shinju is pumping you with what you need to survive, but i'm guessing you still have a life span. that means no more humans as nobody will actually be doing anything as it's all in their head. if infinite tsukiyomi was something you could leave anytime you wanted, sure i go into it on occasion like a video game of sorts. heck, had madara actually given people a choice of going into it that would have been better. everybody knows what it is, yet they still didn't want to go into it. why do you think that is? because it's not real. they would rather achieve that happiness in the real world instead of just being given it.
I don't think its the fact the dream world is better, its just that everyone in the real world would disappear, its literally the end of the real world, everyone you knew who died does not exist.
what madara basically did was seperate everyone from each other and replace it with a lie.

Naruto didn't force anyone to accept his beliefs, if you wanted to get caught in this dream, all they can do is not participate in the war, but everyone decided to help him, they understand him and what he fights for.
