So about Boruto's eye and the recent episodes description [SPOILERS]

No no no, I'm a Hyuga fan but turning Byakugan into a washed down version of Sharingan is insulting to Uchiha. S/t is a Sharingan feat, Uchiha are the best S.t users leave it at that, give Boruto's eye something we haven't seen or something Hamura would've possessed, at the very least a power related to Juken.

Boruto's dojutsu isnt a Byakugan. S/T isn't accompanied by any Dojutsu in particular, Rinnegan has it as well.

No. Last week's episode confirmed it wasn't a Byakugan or related to it.

I'm pretty sure it's some type of relation to the Hamura side, but, it's highly possible there's a deeper something we are missing.

Possible that this new dojutsu is unrelated to the Byakugan, maybe related ro something else. I know this sounds confusing but just watch out for these next few episodes.

His eye comes from Hinata bloodline not Naruto's, that makes his dojutsu a variation of Byakugan, it's blue just like Tenseigan and just like Indra he most likely inherited a weaker version of Otsutsuki dojutsu.

Although Naruto having the power of a JuubiJin plays a role it's primarily Hyuga lineage that allowed him to awaken a hidden potential.

The never stated at which lineage his eye came from, but they did state that it wasn't a Byakugan.

So it's possible that this potential was awakened due to having both Naruto and Hinata's genes, making it something unique altogether.
