Retsu found herself atop a mountain, twitching by the neck uncontrollably. Her family, or clan, rather, had been scattered across the vast lands of the Earth... Not that she cared about them, but they were nice to have around. She sensed not one living presence but herself, however, she sensed many of the dead. They spoke to her in agony...

"Help. me.."

"Kill me..."

"Save me..."

Ah, the voices she heard when awake, and while asleep. She had blacked out for a split second but when she came-to, she realized she stood on a snowy mountain top, hundreds of feet among the sky. She took a deep breath and it seemed to quell the talking spirits in her ear. She went from looking like a psychopath back to a normal and sweet human being. The spirit of a tiger walked beside her, not to be seen by anyone of this realm. The tiger spoke... "Shall we get going, Retsu?" he asked in a deep and stoic voice. "Yes. I just need a minute." she replied. The tiger seemed to give what appeared to be a nod before turning around, walking back and disappearing after a few feet. That was Drahmin. Her spirit animal. Literally. She had several of those. None of which she was a fan, but she had no choice but to have them by her side. Her spiritual understanding and intelligence was otherworldly. This was to be expected from a Katsuryoku...

She had wondered... If this was truly home. Should she settle here? Didn't feel like home.. But the snowy climate and coldness warmed her heart for some odd reason... A reason she could not pinpoint herself. The spirit of a bluejay bird landed on her shoulder and calmly talked to her. "Walk." he said. Thus, she blindly started to walk down the hill, as if she was brainwashed. The bird stayed on her shoulder indefinitely, giving her directions and instructions. She did not say a word back, only followed. No emotion, no distress, just calmly walking.

Eventually, she got to the bottom of the mountain and then sat down. At this point, the bird disappeared. She huffed and puffed... The trip was long. And tiresome. Her feet hurt from the snow, and she enjoyed it. Her head tilted down, hair blocking her facial features... An old man, a native in this cold wasteland, walked past her and asked if she was alright... She was indeed, not alright... She was never... Alright. As soon as he finished asking, genuinely concerned about her, she heard those voices she always hears...

"KILL KILL KILL MURDER MURDER MURDER..." ah. She couldn't control herself, of course. It wasn't her fault. It was Unohana's fault. She slowly unsheathed her katana as she got up and slowly looked towards the man who was now pale in the face. Frightened. He ran... As he did this, Unohana weaved three seals and raised her katana, covering it in dark vacuity. The vicious element extended from the sword and thoroughly pierced the man's heart, stopping him in his tracks. As he gasped for air and mercy, he started to erode from the inside out, eventually developing into a pile of bone ash as the dark vacuity broke his body down to a molecular level.

(Dakuiton: Shinkai Kairou ) Dark Vacuity Release: Abyssal Corridor
Rank: N/A
Type: N/A
Range: N/A
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Abyssal Corridor is a not a traditional technique in the sense of manipulation of an element. It’s rather a basic outline of what occurs when the human body or other sentient creatures such as animals make contact with the ionized ash of Dark Vacuity Release. This is always active in battle, simply posted in the beginning or whenever a Dark Vacuity Release technique is used, being completely passive and not costing a move slot. The outline of exposure to the element follows as such:

D Rank: This is considered the weakest level of exposure, which due to how insignificant the damage is, the technique in question doesn't cause any residual damage and simply deals its intended damage to the opposing human/sentient being. They however due to the hazy like nature of the ash, can cause blindness if exposed to his eyes. As long as exposure is remained with the source, the target won't be able to see up beyond mid range.

C Rank: This is considered the second weakest level of exposure; thus has the least effect on the skin. However, despite this; the ionizing process does in fact still cause irritation to the skin – akin to a constant need to itch at the area. This in turn causes the opponent a bit of difficulty in attempting to perform hand seals without the need to scratch at the zone, causing them to be unable to perform a technique if it possesses more four or more hand seals. It should be noted however that exposure will still also cause damage to the skin, which in turn causes the opponent to suffer -5 DMG per turn. Due to this being the weakest level of ionizing on the skin, it only lasts for two turns if separated from the technique though constant exposure to the initial technique will cause these effects to persist.

B Rank: Similar to the previous exposure level, B rank exposure causes more irritation to the skin as more layers of it is removed. This causes other to be unable to make more than three hand seals for a technique without wanting to completely scratch at the area of exposure, due to the immense irritation. This also causes -5 per turn as well, akin to the C Rank Usage, while also causing the same blinding affect if exposed to the eyes.

A Rank: This is fourth stage of exposure; which causes the effects to be far worse than beforehand. Of course; at this level of exposure the ionizing process is far more severe as layers of the target’s flesh will start to become more ionized as well. These levels the upper layers of flesh to be eaten away – capable of exposing bones should the ionizing process persist. Much like before, this causes high level of irritation and pain to the skin, preventing those exposed to unable to utilize techniques with two or more hand seals without wanting to scratch or deal with the pain from the ionizing skin. This in turn causes more passive damage over time, causing -10 DMG for two turns unless constant exposure to the technique remains established.

S - rank: This is fifth stage of exposure; which causes the effects to be the worse among the technique. Of course; at this level of exposure the ionizing process is far more severe as layers of the target’s flesh will start to become more ionized as well. These levels the upper layers of flesh to be eaten away – capable of exposing bones should the ionizing process persist. Much like before, this causes high level of irritation and pain to the skin, preventing those exposed to unable to utilize techniques with one hand seal without wanting to scratch or deal with the pain from the ionizing skin. This in turn causes more passive damage over time, causing -20 DMG for two turns unless constant exposure to the technique remains established.

Abyssal Corridor’s effects however are reflected once the Dark Vacuity Technique within the damage threshold. This means; should an A – Rank technique be increased in damage to that of 80, the S rank effect will those trigger instead. It’s the same for when the user is afflicted with a technique that reduces the damage; including after clashes with other techniques will cause the effects if contact is made to lessen.

(Dakuiton: Sakusei no Mukou ) Dark Vacuity Release: Void of Creation
Rank: D - S
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Long Chakra Cost: 10 - 40 ( - 10 Per Turn)
Damage Points: 20 - 80
Description: Void of Creation encompasses the basic formations of the element. Exploiting the ionized ash particles, the wielder is capable of forming it into its standardized cubic form or in any form he/she desires. This includes, but not limited to, basic constructs such as tools, body surges, waves, weaponry, spikes etc. It is only limited to the imagination of the user, as the formation can begin/manipulated from anywhere in the terrain (though must be spawned at least five meters away from the intended human), directly from the body and or through direct contact with solid material. The structures forged imitate their realistic counterpart with an array of coloring detail, thus making the creation made from the ionized-ash quite realistic.

As outlined in the element however, should the ash come into contact with solid material/water etc, the ionized ash will cause it to collapse upon itself. Should the ash be stronger – it’s capable of ionizing the target before assimilating it within itself and returning back into its compact form, although a bit weaker. The user can control the implosion not to trigger, remaining inert if he or she chooses too. During a process of implosion there’s two types of interactions that occur under certain circumstances; A) when this jutsu physically interacts with a solid object, the ionizing of the targeted object of aim happens in a process of it being ionized (short-range subjects will be pulled into the wind drafts created by this implosion) before it’s broken down into energy becoming ionized ash altogether, B) when this jutsu interactions with a non-solid element, unlike regular interactions this will cause ionized particles fumes which are able to change the area’s illumination to the user’s choice (perceivable to the human eye), upon overcoming the interaction as it assimilated it within itself. If this jutsu was countered/ if that interaction results in this jutsu becoming overwhelmed, segments of ionized ash will succumb and remain mundane in the area of effect and with no inherit chakra. It should be noted that these effects are outlined for all Dark Vacuity based techniques, requiring the user to post this technique as a reference each time or simply mentioning it at the start of the battle.

Note: This technique needs one handseal to form the B rank version, two for the A rank and three for the S ranks. In the case of the S ranks being used, the user is unable to use Dark Vacuity Release techniques A rank and above for the same and next turn, while A rank use causes them from using above S rank for the same amount of time. A rank may be used thrice per battle, while the S ranks twice per battle with each use having a cool down of two turns. Fumes utilized to creating an area illumination are hazards to the opponent, if they so much so in inhale them, it would result in -10 dmg to their health per turn, for each turn they're inhaling them. The user may create multiple constructs, however the power is divided evenly among them based on the rank used.

She lowered her now tattered sword, thanks to the vacuity release and then tilted her head to the side to see two terrified children. A boy and a girl. The spirit of a giant tarantula slowly appeared and crawled next to Unohana. "Well, are you going to finish your work?" it asked her... Took her a second to answer. Almost jokingly, knowing the emotional damage she had done to these children, she playfully answered back... "Nah..." with a smile. She looked down at her tattered katana, and actually... Kinda liked the way it looked now... She rotated it to gaze upon the other side. Tilting her head, she admired this quite a lot. She'll be using this for now on. To perhaps channel her dark vacuity release... It looked... Fascinating. She sheathed it back into the holster by her side and continued to walk past the kids who stared at the murderer of their grandfather. Sucks to suck. As she walked, the tiger walked beside her to her right, bluejay on her left shoulder and tarantula walking beside her left. These were the main three. There was a fourth. A seal. But he rarely showed up to the party... These spirits knew how to manipulate her in ways inhumanly imaginable. Sometimes she wins, and... Sometimes she loses. But never does she break even or bargain.

Onward she goes... Onward she goes... The Scarred Queen... Onward she goes...

Intercepting you as part of the rules;
There is a mandatory forty-five (45) minute wait time in between posts. Once this time has passed the player is no longer within the landmark they left, even if they have not posted in their next intended landmark. This grace period ends after eight (8) hours have passed without the traveler posting in their next landmark. In these cases, if a roleplayer is in transit and does not post within 8 hours after their 45 minute travel time then they can be intercepted at their original landmark as they normally would. Note that this does not apply to Automated Travel.

Storyboard Element(s):

  • Negotiate for or speak on behalf of your clan
After making a detour on their way towards Tobusekai - a shinobi of unknown origin had made their way to Alucard's realm. A most suspicious activity at a time like this. Without a thought or a plan he and Lilith made landfall in Snowbork, the landmark he had found the person roaming freely. Without much of a strategy or will to conceal his presence, Alucard decided to approach the person from the distance. His Tenseigan had already revealed the persons chakra level which was on par with his own. But was her power the same as his? Unthinkable. This was most likely just an ant lost from their nest about to be confronted with god himself. The two of them came in from the eastern shores and with heavy snowfall their presence from a distant naked eye was surely clouded hadn't it been for Alucard's pitch black wardrobe. With a somewhat slow but firm pace they had now approached the woman standing mid-range from her. Lilith stood beside her father, observing the woman and with her two swords on her hips with her hands leaning on their grips. Alucard decided to speak.

And who might you be? Before you answer, i thought you should know that you are facing god-like judgment so think carefully on how you answer and who you're speaking to. I am Alucard Tepes, ruler of the realm of the Thundermountains including Snowbork where your ass currently is inhabiting. An ass that i will escort out of here in pieces should it be a troublesome one. But you're not troublesome are you? As boring as that would be, it better be the truth..

(Thanks for intercepting me. Was kind of expecting you too.)

  • Mission Start: Bargain with a powerful clan leader (3)
Unohana was stopped by two suspicious, obscure individuals. She wasn't surprised. Atop the mountains she sensed nothing but the dead. However, when she got to the bottom, she did indeed sense the living spirits of two others. She guessed it was these two... She spoke with a soft and sweet yet maniacal voice... "Sending ME away in PIECES? Now why would you do that to a poor soul like me?.." she said but couldn't hold back her laugh towards the end... "Ah... Even if you could kill me physically, its not like I can... Die or anything..." she said confidently. She wasn't sure who these people were but the amount of confident oozing from the man... Either he was an entity even the Otsutsuki would fear... Or... Just a peon like the rest of the people Unohana shares this realm with... The spirit bluejay, one the man could most likely sense, given his other-wordily demeanor, but not see. "Kill him now." the bird said blatantly. At this point, it appeared Unohana was talking to herself. "No no no... Not yet. Let's see what he has to say." She walked closer to Lilith (short range), hoping that this self-proclaimed god didn't strike her down and force her hand... "You... Are... Precious... What is your name?.." she asked Lilith, disregarding the man.

Obviously they had business with Unohana considering this big game he talked. He would have attempted to kill her already if she was really "trespassing" on his "land". What business, she wondered. "I'm just a passer-by..." she smiled brightly, now addressing Alucard again. At this point, Retsu was in full effect, just a harmless, beautiful young butterfly in which the Bluejay faded away, back into the damned lands in which he came. Her head heard clarity for the first time in a long time.

The lady crept closer to Lilith. She displayed no fear but rather an odd look. Alucard spoke with Lilith through his mental link with her, unheard by anyone else.

*You carry the swords little one. I best know you intend to display how to use them should she beg for it.*
Lilith sighed, she was done being treated like a precious little girl by strangers. But mostly she was done being treated by Alucard as if she didn't know how to handle herself. Upon inviting the woman to tread closer, Lilith unsheathed not one but both of her blades and firmly planted them in a deadlock around the woman's neck. The heat from Golden Nightmare would not hurt but heat up like a torch even not on direct contact while Darkiscie radiated with it's Yin nature. Her golden eyes unveiled a hidden rage that had been bottled up inside her for far too long.

Not a single step further... Please, don't make me do this. I hate killing..
The cockyness of the woman had Alucard feeling the same feel as a cat playing with it's food although the food in this case was teasing the cat. Like a mouse.

Your attempts of a moral defense is lackluster. You are trouble aren't you? Gracious me, i thought i'd be bored but you delivered something. Go on, why are you passing through here?

As the cat-girl-thing put her blades up to Retsu's neck, she put her hands up... "Whoa whoa whoa! What's going on here guys! I mean no harm!" she said passionately and genuinely. "I've found myself lost in these mountains and I am looking for my home, but I don't know where my home is... Was... Thinking about settling here! Are you natives? Maybe you guys can help me." she asked curiously. It was clear the woman's demeanor switched from threatening to innocent quite quickly in the short span of the tri-interaction. It... Was almost like there were two different people. "Please put your weapons down." She took a few slow steps back in hopes to avoid the all-burned blades the little character held. She wanted to part in altercations. She had found herself in enough trouble somehow, she didn't need more. At this point, the spirit of the walrus appeared and belly flopped next to Retsu. It started to float close to the blades and looked around them, examining them. "Oh? Quite the pickle you have yourself in now, Retsu." he said. Again, the woman appeared to speak to herself, when she was speaking to the spirit. "I mean yeah but I didn't do anything to these people. I don't even know them. Is this a high crime area?" she asked the walrus. "Maybe." he replied. "Maybe they're both criminals." "Criminals?!" Retsu shouted in confused disgust. She cleared her throat...

"AHEM!.. Excuse me. You two wouldn't happen to be criminals, would you? I think I would have to apprehend you, if so." She then put her hands back down to her side, more confident seeming than scared. She patiently awaited their reply, but only speaking to the man now as the girl was apparently mentally ill as no sane person would put blades to the neck of a stranger.

The woman hadn't anticipated this quick resolve from Alucard, clearly. Like a scared mouse she retreated back and seemingly started to talk with herself. As she retreated from Lilith's swords, she sheathed them back again letting out a relieved sigh.

Thank you.
She said, while applying a stone cold creepy smile across her face. Meanwhile, Alucard was trying to decipher this odd womans behavior. If it was an enemy they would've probably already attacked by now but then again that wouldn't be the best move against a person like him either. Perhaps it was a spy who hadn't been able to get out of the landmark quick enough for him to intercept her and now facing him she had no other choice than to try untangle herself out of the encounter with talk-no-jutsu.

Criminals, sure, i mean who hasn't destroyed landmarks with meteors and slain entire villages to drink the blood of the peoples corpses. We all have our, heh, callings. No i am not a native here. I've lived for centuries in different locations and the Storm mountains was a property i was given charge to by a fellow Otsutsuki.
Before Alucard had a chance to ridicule the woman further for her grandiose attempt of mockery, which probably would mean that she would be dead soon, Lilith was also going to say a few words. Her painfully cold expression had changed to that off a more relaxed one by now.

I am no native either even though i've spent most of my life here. I was born on the Moon Isle, far from here in a ritual of balance perfected. If you're lost around here and thinking of settling in, it would probably be wise to ask Father first as he owns the lands here. But seeing as you..

Gwahahahaaha, You would apprehend a God!? Do try. No, infact i encourage you to!!

Retsu knew she had a few... Mental hiccups. But these two? Definitely on the spectrum. Trying to follow both of their stories, from one being born through a pendulum of unnatural design and one... Thinking he was a god, Retsu wasn't sure what to think at all... She began to think they were both autistic. One overly aggressive and the other, delusional. She spoke back with Lilith. "I would not mind seeking solace here, and you two are... Great... But um... You two lead these lands?.." she asked curiously. Lands led by two mentally unstable beings were lands doomed to plunge into chaos and sin. That being said, Retsu started to completely ignore Alucard at this point. Neither her nor Unohana was going to encourage certain behaviors as it would surely lead to unfruitful events neither of them had the time for. For now... Best not disturb a mad man and his pet... Retsu went to a nearby flower bed. The flowers here weren't all that colorful and beautiful, being well-equipped for snowy, cold weather. She walked back towards the duo. A safe distance, and placed it on the ground before them. "Here. A token of my gratitude showing my appreciation for you two humoring my ignorance of these lands. Hopefully from this day forward, we can consider ourselves an alliance. I will never know when I need somewhere to really settle, or truth be told: hide. And perhaps in return I can help you two lovely folks take up arms when necessary?" she paused and waited for a lengthy response from the deranged duo. Perhaps this could be her way in and finally find somewhere to put her mind at rest. Or perhaps just another hi and bye scenario, which always seemed to be the case. Either way, she didn't mind. She was a natural wanderer. So it didn't quite bother her none. She was a serial killer so its not like she could stay put for long. However, these two were... Like her, in a sense. Very... Hard to understand. One had a lust for blood like Unohana, one came off as sweet and quiet like Retsu but just as deadly as the blades she held so dear to Unohana's neck. "What do you say?" Retsu asked. Quite the bit of distance away, Retsu held out her hand for a handshake... This would be a pivotal point in this interaction...

With a disappointing yet ice cold grunt, Alucard realized that the person infront of them wasn't going to attack. Either because she was a coward or because she had actually come under terms who she was standing infront of. It would seem that no blood would be spilled today, yet. With her gesture following her rhetorical question, which he only responded to with a frown, the flower she had picked and placed infront of them was then followed up by a suggestion of collaboration. She, of all people, who had not only sneaked her way into their lands but also dared to almost challenge Alucard only to leave his bloodlust blueballed in the last secound. She dared? Alucard could not hold back his laughter at this point. He would slow clap as he laughed.

Haahaahoohiiihooohaaahaaaa.
He paused for a moment and placed his hands back into his pockets.

Allying with you? What could you possibly offer the Hellsing Organization, i bet you don't even have any arms to take up. I wonder how you even have survived at this point with all shit that is going down. Maybe luck is your lone power eh? Humans, the way you go on about with your wordplays when you bark too hard for your own hide.
Lilith on the other hand welcomed the gesture of the woman. She had never really intended to go full decapitation unless a certain demand had been met but luckily for her, that demand had not been pressed. Afterall, she hated killing things - most of all humans.

Well.. Father, maybe she would be an asset. She does seem fearless enough even though she was standing at a whispers length from the depths of Oblivion. At times like these, fearlessness is probabl-

A sign that the person is mentally deranged, yes. Tell me, Human. Who did you lose? Your family? Your clan? Show me those powers of yours. Squishing mosquitoes doesn't count.

He wasn't going to have a random person joining the Hellsing Organization afterall.
