Snow in the Sahara Desert. Mind-blown.

It snowed on Sunday in the Sahara Desert, the largest desert in the world. Apparently, it's the second time it's happened in the last 40 years.

Didn't even know such a thing was possible. It's like straight outta Game of Thrones. Fire and Ice.

I think "when hell freezes over" is an appropriate metaphor to this.

That's global warming for ya. So hot even the desert is freezing.

It's not that shocking really, deserts can get really cold, and more during this time i'd imagine, so to see some ice isn't really that surprising.

apparently we can't get ice ages anymore, do to the climate being to poluted... (unless the golf current stops flowing we won't get getting any more ice ages)

Not really, the temparature is gonna keep rising and rising and the desert areas on the planet is gonna grow, the crops will be easier to grow in some places because of that, however the yield the crops will be worse (the quality of the crops will decrease, they will be less healthy for humans to consume)

Most of the middle east will be uninhabitel for humans... i mean the current refugee crisis is already screating the EU's to to breaking point and its only a few million people... what do you think will happen when over 1 billion people need to be evacuated or stay put and die?

do you really think those 1-2 billion people is just gonna stay there and die if the "west" says: sorry we will close our borders you can't come in, massives wars is gonna be the result of it, in the same way we will be see wars break out of the lack of drinkable water avaliable...
