Snakes in naruto are mostly used by orichimaru and most of them are mindless fodder used to attack, or mean spirted like manda. Aoda is an exception a very loyal and kind snake. It usually represented the bad guys but Sasuke is no longer a bad guy and neither is Orichimaru. Snakes are one of the few places, besides mount myoboku and ryuchi cave where one can become a sage.

1) They have different types of sensing
Smell: The user use smell to track their prey. They smell by using their forked tongues to collect airborne particles, then passing them to the vomeronasal organ or Jacobson's organ in the mouth for examination. The fork in the tongue gives snakes a sort of directional sense of smell and taste simultaneously. They keep their tongues constantly in motion, sampling particles from the air, ground, and water, analyzing the chemicals found, and determining the presence of prey or predators in the local environment. In water-dwelling snakes (which the user also has access to), such as the anaconda, the tongue functions efficiently under water.
Eyesight: Snake vision varies greatly, from only being able to distinguish light from dark to keen eyesight, but the main trend is that their vision is adequate although not sharp, and allows them to track movements.
Infrared sensitivity: The user will have infrared-sensitive receptors in deep grooves on the snout, which allow them to "see" the radiated heat of warm-blooded prey mammals.
Vibration sensitivity: The part of the body in direct contact with the ground is very sensitive to vibration; thus, the snake can sense other animals approaching by detecting faint vibrations in the air and on the ground.
2) Their scales can be sued for defensive purpose protecting you and you could create cjs using them. The scales could also be shed so that the snakes wont take full damage (if the summon abilitiy ahs that)
3) You can create cjs that use snakes coming out of your body or having snakes being summoned which the ones out of the body are faster.
4) Snakes are Life
5) Snakes are shown to use venom in the manga and can be used on the base. To have a snake with a generic venom you gotta submit as a cj while any kind of special venom you have to be a med nin.
6) Snakes is the only other contract that allows the user to go for a Sage Mode. (wont explain it unless you go for SM)
7) You can have ones between 1 inch tall to as tall as Manda.

Vegito looks at his sick tat and grins. Confidentially vegito makes the summoning jutsu hand hands and spreads blood across his tatto, finishing it up by slamming his hands on the ground, Vegito focused his chakra calling forth any snake his chakra could muster. As the smoke cleared Vegitos face went into of of those shocked anime faces as the snake was no bigger then his pinkie. Vegitos eye twitches as he stomps the snake to death. He preforms the process once again and this time only summons a snake as big as his index finger. vegito began punching the ground thinking to himself "what the hell"
This process would go on for many hours sometimes the same size snake would appear other times the snake got bigger or smaller. The sun had begun to set as vegito finally summoned a snake 5 meters high. Vegito continued and put in more effort into the summoning then anything else he had ever done. on the 3rd morning he had finally summoned the largest snake he could a 50 meter tall one.
Nice counter to earth moving core and good for defensive and attack.

Vegito bites his thumb and wipes the blood across his tattoo and makes the required hand seals slamming his hand on the ground, the snake appears but lacks a second head. Vegito focuses more chakra this time and summons one with two heads but only knee high. After 3 hours vegito finally summons the correct snake.
I would use this snake if I was fighting a shadow clone and a normal person, one head could attack the clone ne while the other head attacks the main body

This was the snake the Suna/Sound nin summoned against the Leaf before it was stop by Jiriya. Its like the last one but 1 additional head and is bigger and could do more damage to a bigger area. This can take up to B rank jutsu. Why would you use this snake verse the generic snake summon?

Vegito wipes his blood across his tatto once again and tries to summon a three headed snake, he fails on the first try summoning the same snake from before, but after multiple tries vegito has learned that it The amount of chakra he puts out determines the summoning. vegito focuses the same amount of chakra he would for an A rank while saying "three headed snake" over and over and this some how summons the snake.
This snake is pretty good and much better then the generic summon so yeah I would, You get three heads to work with which is nice if you're fighting clones. Can each head use a jutsu? If not could I make a cj where a 3 headed snake can do that?

Extremely fast and strong, his tail acts as a sharp mace that he can fling at the enemies with ease, speed and tremendous power (capable of overcoming even A-Rank defenses). Manda is also capable of using his chakra for 2 unique techniques: he can borrow underground (even if its affected by up to A-Rank techniques), tunneling through the earth at enormous speed or shed his skin, using a sort of substitution technique, where he trades places with his shed skin. While underground, Manda can sense the vibrations through the earth and pinpoint the location of his enemy. I want you analyze them and tell me situations you want to use them in. Also why would you use Manda over the snakes and why would you use other snake and not Manda?

Vegito gets hyped as he hears he gets to summon the boss, for this one Vegito knows he might end up eaten and has to be on his best behavior and not his usual cocky self. Vegito makes the seals and pours all his chakra into this summon making Manda appear.

He is immune to one S rank and all A ranks even the earth swamp apparently so thats why I'd use him he's immune to most genjutsu too since most are A rank and below, but you need to be polite to Manda so using the other snakes is safer.

Vegito focuses his chakra into his tatto and summons a small dual headed snake from his sleeve, the snake then releases drill like projectiles from their moves hitting the clones.
I see no advantage to this, for this jutsu i could throw regular kunai.
Vegito following the same process he did for the first shadow snake summons snakes from his sleeves but this time summons a large amount of them which bite into the clone.
I guess for close combat it could be useful. Aside from that I see no pros.

For the first one as a pro you could combine it with the elemental scales jutsu (which youll learn) making it do more damage and breaking elemental armor if an opponent uses ^^

During the battle with gamabunta and katsuyu, Manda used this technique to evade from toad oil flame bomb; the skin was deceiving however it had a transparent opacity, which in between attack wasn't noticeable.
Note: Must have snakes summoning contract.
Summon any snake of your choosing. Once you summon them have the snake shed their skin so that the snake avoids damage from the my jutsu. The snake should shed its skin and then be hidden underground. Then have it emerge out of the ground. For this one I want an acutal RP style move with you actually summoning one of the saneks you learned as I will use a jutsu as soon as you summon as snakes ^^
