Snakes, are the signature summons of Orochimaru, his assistant, Kabuto Yakushi, and his students: Sasuke Uchiha and Anko Mitarashi. They reside at the Ryūchi Cave, along with the Great Snake Sage.
The snakes can vary greatly in size, body mass and species, from small enough to hide in one's sleeves to larger than buildings, and thin enough to be used to tie someone's hands to strong enough to choke a colossal animal like the Island Turtle. Although common snakes cannot speak human language like toads, some of their summoners could communicate with them. They are able to detect live beings by their heat and smell in order to track and lead their summoners to their prey. They can also use their classic venom to poison things.
Orochimaru frequently summons snakes in battle, either having them attack for him or instructing them to carry out other tasks. While most snakes are very obedient and do as they are instructed, the largest snake, Manda, demanded a sacrifice of a hundred humans in exchange for helping Orochimaru.
Snakes have also mastered the use of natural energy to enter a Sage Mode of their own. The only known way to learn it is in the Ryūchi Cave with the White Snake Sage.
In our RP, SSM gives you a x5 tracking and several other benefits, which is pretty terrific.

Goddamn. I forgot about this. Thread got buried.
I weave the respective handseals, and wipe the dripping blood on my tattoo, and a black kanji forms all around. With a poof sound, a small snake is summoned; quite harmless. I keep repeating the process several times, until a giant snake is summoned in front of me. Truly...deadly.

After weaving the required handseals, I slam my hands on my tattoo, and a black kanji spreads out from the center as always. Carefully focusing upon my chakra, I remember your instructions, as smoke engulfs the area. As the smoke clears, a large snake is summoned, which possesses two heads. I then direct the snake at your clone, as it bites it. The bite is so powerful that the clone immediately poofs off.

Repeating the same process as before, I stream more chakra, and imagine summoning a giant snake, with 3 heads, instead of 2. At first, the summoning doesn't take place properly, but this time, I add the right amount of chakra, as a giant, 70m snake is summoned, possessing 3 heads. As I stand atop the snakes, I command them mentally to destroy the trees which are situated some distance from me.

To summon Manda, the user takes a big gamble, as he can easily turn on its summoner if he so deems it. Not only that, but the sacrifice and the amount of chakra needed damages the user, making summoning Manda a forbidden act. Manda has some unique abilities. Extremely fast and strong, his tail acts as a sharp mace that he can fling at the enemies with ease, speed and tremendous power (capable of overcoming even A-Rank defenses). Manda is also capable of using his chakra for 2 unique techniques: he can borrow underground (even if its affected by up to A-Rank techniques), tunneling through the earth at enormous speed or shed his skin, using a sort of substitution technique, where he trades places with his shed skin. While underground, Manda can sense the vibrations through the earth and pinpoint the location of his enemy. While completely immune to techniques A-Rank and below, Manda can take one S-Rank attack and survive by shedding his skins afterwards, although this can only be done once.

They can purely bind a target due to the force of the bite, but can't poison the target. This can be used to put oneself out of low ranked genjutsus. Goes upto mid range.

Anyway, I gather chakra and summon a torrent of snakes from my sleeve, which coil forth and extend forwards, towards your clone who's at mid range, biting his hand, and binding him in place. I then throw a simple explosive tag at your clone, thereby causing him to poof away.
That poor bastard.

I gather my chakra and slam my hands on the ground, and summon the dual headed snake from my sleeves, which rushes forwards towards your clone who releases several kunais. I then use my chakra to materialize forth drill like projectiles from within the snake's mouth which easily deflect the kunais, and I then extend the projectiles towards your clone, which hit him as he poofs away.

This is also pretty much the spotlight snake jutsu which every snake user in Naruto has shown to use.
