Let's be honest Smoker got worked this arc. And im starting to think Oda is trying to push Coby into being Luffy's main marine rival now. So who do you think is Luffy's marine rival? Smoker or Coby?

Rival and enemy are two different things.

-Its only fair for Smoker to get whipped this arc b/c he whipped Luffy in part 1.
--The purpose of Smoker losing shows how powerful the enemies in the New World are, and How much Luffy has to grow if he wants to be the best

As for Luffy's enemy that has to be the Magma guy um...Akainu

I feel like Cody will be there to stop Luffy, but in the end only help him

Smoker ofcourse. Coby will never fight equal with Luffy, no, not even be close to it. I'm not saying Smoker is equal to Luffy now, but they always had a rival thing before the timeskip.

I think that Coby may be working directly under Akainu as a Marine Captain.
