Well smoke really is just a gathering of particles like dust or things like that but when we normally think of smoke we think of the particles that are released from burning something like wood or plastic or anything like that. In Naruto, it is seen being used by that one guy from I believe, the Sound Village, though I am not 100% on that. He can manipulate smoke that is created and make things like Smoke Clones and use the Smoke as a tactic in battle to make it hard for opponents to see. Did I get everything? O_O

Good, and as we discussed those guys were Kiho and Kigiri. :p

Now, tell me what the advantages/disadvantages of smoke are, how it interacts with different elements, etc.

Let me see, well honestly I am not sure what elements Smoke is strong and weak against, though I will take some guesses.

- I would think that Smoke would be weak to Wind due to the fact that Wind obviously blows away Smoke.
- I also think that Fire would be weak against Smoke due to the fact that Fire creates smoke so would actually add to the smoke.
- I think Lightning and Smoke would actually not effect each other. The only thing that I think would happen when these two interact is that the smoke in super close proximity to the lightning would be somewhat pushed slightly away leaving small streaks of no smoke but overall would not effect it.
- By how Water and Earth interact in real life I would think that they would be strong against Smoke but usually in RP an element/type of Jutsu only has one or two things its weak to, not three, so I am not sure on these ones.

Pretty much. Technically, there is not elemental "strength" for smoke. Meaning, there's no element where if techniques of equal rank clash the smoke will win out. But it does have weaknesses and those are wind and water. Wind can blow the smoke away while the water soaks up the smoke particles consuming it.

Any questions on elemental interactions before we move on?

Alrighty then. When using smoke since its not an actual element, we can produce it naturally. Instead we need to use tools to create the smoke. The tools a smoke user has are a gas mask, smoke bombs, and wrist launcher. The wrist launcher used by Kiho was big and clunky, and seeing as how smoke lends itself to stealth I personally didn't like that style. Instead when I made my smoke bio I used a single barrel wrist launcher that sat concealed underneath each of my forearms, making it much more hidden and practical.

*tosses you a gas mask and pouch of smoke bombs*

Now which type of launcher would you prefer?

*Catches the Gas Mask and pouch of Smoke Bombs*

I would definitely like the single barrel Wrist Launcher, stealth is where it is at :)

Can I have a purple one O_O

Wise decision!

*takes out a can or purple spray paint and covers the single barrel launcher with it*

There ya go!

Strap it on and lets get started. First I want you to get a feel for it. There are 2 way in which its used. First, to release streams of smoke which can be used for any number of uses. Second, to release smoke bombs. In both of these cases you'll be using your chakra to trigger the mechanisms within the launcher.

So I want you to focus your chakra to the wrist launcher and trigger it to release smoke.

*Takes the freshly purple wrist launcher and straps it to my arm*

Hmm, this looks like its going to be fun.

*As you explain to me the two methods of using the wrist launcher, I look down at it and get to work. I first gather a portion of my Chakra internally and channel it through my shoulder and into my right arm, and finally into my wrist launcher. As I channel it into the wrist launcher, I trigger the mechanism in the launcher to explode one of the smoke bombs and then trigger the next mechanism to shoot the smoke from the launcher.*

Hmm, was that right?

*After asking, I again quickly gather a portion of my internal Chakra and again, channel it through my body and into the wrist launcher on my right arm. This time, as I channel the Chakra into the launcher, I do not trigger the first mechanism but only trigger the second causing a smoke bomb to shoot out of the barrel as I raise my arm. The smoke bomb then proceeds to explode on contact of the ground.*

It seems to be working well.

The release of the smoke bomb was fine. The release of the stream of smoke was a little off. You're not exploding a smoke bomb within the gauntlet, you're simply creating a stream of smoke.

But lets move on. Using the smoke bomb launching mechanism, hit those targets over yonder!

*points to targets over in the yonder*

Ahh I see, makes sense.

*After hearing your instructions, I quickly gather a portion of my Chakra and channel it through my body and specifically through my arm and into my wrist launcher. After doing so, I then trigger the mechanism inside the launcher using my Chakra to shoot the smoke bomb in the direction that my arm is pointing over yonder. As the smoke bomb hits the target which you pointed out, the smoke bomb explodes and creates a cloud of smoke. I then repeat this a couple more times, aiming at the other targets over yonder.*

Good.

(Kuro Kemuri Tama no Jutsu) – Dark Smoke Sphere technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: the user using his wrist launcher will shoot out small dark bombs that will then release thick smoke to create a veil of smokescreen to suffocate the target.
Note: can only be used by Kiho or a smoke users with a wrist launcher

-Done-

Now, that's the only cannon technique that utilizes actual smoke bombs in its attack. So lets move on to the smoke stream techniques.

Use your wrist launchers to release a steady stream of smoke from the nozzles.

*I begin by gathering a portion of my internal Chakra and channeling it through my body. As I do this, I focus the Chakra into my right arm which has my wrist launcher. As I channel the Chakra into the wrist launcher, I activate the mechanisms inside and begin to release a stream of Chakra infused smoke from the nozzles.*

Good, now control that smoke with your chakra and manipulate its shape to create a 5m in diameter sphere.

*Arrives and punches Typhon out of the training thread while I light my cigar using Katon chakra* I'm the new smoke master on NB so get out of here. U_U. Hello new old guy...boy this is awkward. I see Old man Ty has gone over all of the basic preliminary things that I would have done so looks like we can start techs. I don't know where he was going with the sphere thing so lets not worry about that. Lets start by throwing some of those smoke bombs you got there. Once you throw lets say 5 smoke bombs I want you to manipulate them to create a humanoid image of yourself....translation....a clone! YAY!
