I do not know ANYTHING about smoke ninjutsu. I assume that it's not an element or a special release like the basic 5. Needs pure chakra to create smoke? Perhaps through gaunlets of some type. Also weak against water/wind, not neccesarily strong against an element, but used as a diversion tactic.

As you may remember from the Anime, Kiho had a large multi-chambered wrist launcher. That didn't really fit my style so I settle for the more sleek and sexy single barreled version. The specific mechanics behind the wrist launcher were never explained (as far as I know) but the basic concept is that it can launch smoke bombs or release streams of smoke. Since there didn't appear to be any trigger for this, I assume its controlled through the use of chakra.

I fit the wrist launcher on my right wrist, sleek and shiney. Seems a bit heavy for me but nontheless I will create my own later on. That said, I launch a smoke bomb through the wrist launcher, then once it hits the ground it expands and release's smoke around the area it activated.

Question: Wrist launcher is needed always? or something else can be used?

I suppose other things can be used. Cigarettes for example can be used to create smoke, though you won't be able to use anything that requires a smoke bomb with that. Kigiro (Kiho's teammate) was also able to use smoke. I'm not quite sure how he made it, but if I remember correctly I think he has a specialized gas-mask which was capable of doing it. There are other specialized ways as well.

This here is a weapon of mine which I received from the Jaguar God. It is an obsidian mirror and when chakra is applied, it produces smoke.

I quickly apply chakra to the wrist launcher and release smoke from it. Slow and steady, however thick like substance which is smoke. I continue until it is filled all around us...

I concentrate a small but dense chakra into the wrist launcher. Then It reacts with my chakra and releases a small amount of chakra however as my chakra is dense, the smoke itself is dense and thick. Anyone caught in it would suffocate AND be blinded of their vision.

YESH!!! RE-trying once more... but lets get rid of all this smoke as it's surrounding us...

Then once the dense smoke clears, I stand firmly, knees bent, my right arm out and straight, then I flow a but of chakra into the wrist launchers and as it activates and reacts to it, it releases a nice thin layer of smoke, which released slow and steady. Not enough chakra pumped into the launchers thus being abe to see inside the smoke that was released.

This should do it Master!

Good.....good. Much better. Now we need to work on the manipulation of the smoke. I want you to release the smoke in a steady stream and as you do this take control of it with your chakra and mold it into a sphere three feet in diameter.

As the instructions were layed out to me. I again feed a bit of chakra into the wrist launchers and then once it reacts to my chakra it begins to emit small thin layers of smoke. Once enough has been released for me to mold it, I begin to mold the smoke itself with shape manipulation. As it has my chakra imbedded into the smoke this seems possible. Once I determine this I just start to mold it into a sphere, three to be exact. Molding one at a time which three feet in diameter spaced apart from each sphere evenly so that it doesn't collide with one another. Holding the shape and waiting for the next set of instructions.

As stupid as I feel now, I try once more as I misunderstood the first time.

Staying calm and collective, I breathe in and out and try to shake off the mistake. Then in battle stance knees slightly bent, right arm straight pointing outwards with elbows extended. I concentrate on the chakra that is flowing calmly and steadily through my tenketsu. Then I apply some chakra into the wrist launchers as before, applying it evenly and not dense. Once the wrist launchers react to my chakra it slowly release's smoke from it. Right in front of me. As I wait until enough is released to form it. I use shape manipulation and take control of the smoke. Molding it and forming it into a sphere, thin sphere at that where i can see through it some what. I make sure it's a sphere and nothing more, all the while that it has a 3 foot diameter making it a quite a bit of a size.

Phew that seemed kinda hard, but i got used to it now!

This next one should be no problem!!


As excited I am for being able to complete the sphere, I once again get ready to perform my next set of instructions. I take my stance once more, knees slightly bent, arms out straight and I release my chakra into the wrist launchers. As I need to make a cube, I release a bit more chakra than before as the shape is a bit more complex than a sphere. Therefore once the launchers reacts to my chakra, it releases a bit thicker smoke but not too much difference in the thickness than before. Once enough has been released I begin to mold it and shape it into a cube. First, when molding it, I know that I need to make it into a box shape. Therefore I take the smoke and stretch it to 5ft. wide. Then I stretch that same layer 5ft high which this shapes into a square. Once the square is formed, I stretch the square itself 5ft deep. Completly forming a cube in three motions. Also which results in dimensions of 5ft wide, 5ft high, and 5ft deep and inbetween filled with smoke.

Good. Now lets get even more complicated. I want you to make a smoke clone. Using that shape manipulation, form it into a humanoid shape and give it your features in the same way you would with a shadow clone, lightning clone, etc.
