Smartest Naruto characters

I see what you mean by Hiruzen being wise but he was only knowledgable of the Will of Fire and wasn't at all self-aware when he made all the bad decisions Jesus during his life. Definitely one of the smartest characters but only from a scientific and battle tactics perspective. Hiruzen was mostly clueless or Ignorant to the bigger picture throughout most his life.

Yes i agree with you. Although will of fire is somewhat wise example IMO. Although its true he never saw what's good for the future like letting Orochimaru live.

No shikamaru is much smarter .

Sakura is smart in different ways though .

In the chunin exams she was the only one who know all the answers (not cheating)
There was shinobis at the of 40 yet 11 years old girl is better

Sakura was the first in the manga we saw that figure out tobi jutsu


Also kishimoto said "After shikamaru ,shino along with sakura are the smartest in their generation"

We have alot of very intelligent characters in Naruto, but who are the smartest? This is my personal opinion on the smartest Naruto characters (no particular order)

-Shikamaru Nara
-Shikaku Nara
-Itachi Uchiha
-Kakashi Hatake
-Orochimaru
-Tobirama


There are alot more characters that are very smart, but the ones i mentioned are intelectual geniuses. Do you agree with my ''list'', who would you add/take down+why? Share your thoughts!
