Smartest Character

Going by it being used in battle, who is the smartest character in the NV?
For my answer, I chose Minato, as he seems to have to think very quickly on what to do to protect others.

And for the love of all that is holy, please do not argue with each other in the thread over someone's opinion.

Battle wise? Minato or Tobirama. Itachi comes extremely close.

I just thought of another character that I think should gain some recognition. What do you guys feel about Kabuto?

Kabuto is also really good. Though I'd put him up on a "Regular Intelligence" level as opposed to a battle smarts one. Still, he thought of perfect counters to the Sharingan.

Managed to figure out how to fight within a minute of having his nervous system re-wired by Tsunade, Can use his chakra to heal without hand seals (and prepared it as Naruto Rasengan'd him).... And perfectly suiting the Edo Tensei to their best fit areas (such as using Muu to stealth approach, but summon other Edos).

But like I said... he's more intelligence smart than battle smart.

Madara most likely. Not only that he has knowledge on almost every jutsu in existence but he also has a counter for all of them as seen in the gokage fight and war arc fight.

Madara is the smartest.

I see alot of you are saying Kakashi, and I would have to agree, he has many feats in the series to prove his battle smarts. However, just going by the small amount of time they have shown characters like Minato and Tobirama, they have impressed a large amount of people.
