Besides they are in control of the Jubi, they should smack Bee right back. But if Kakashi and SM Naruto can land on the Jubi.. Oh well Madara will blow them apart, given that he can use mokuton on top of the jubi.

Well, Obito was shown to act impulsively without fully considering the consequences throughout the manga, and is currently matched against a proven genius (Kakashi). I think that in a conflict between Kakashi and Obito, Kakashi should win, if he does not run out of chakra (which he should not if the 9T resupplies), simply because they both have same eye, Obito does not seem to use his Rinnegan much if at all, and Kakashi is simply smarter.

What is not clear to me is, how are Madara and Obito controlling the juubi - or are they even controlling it? I think they are just letting it have its way.

No they are controlling it, read through the chapter, where they jump on top of it. They have roots connected from the Jubi to themselves. After they connected the Jubi attacked Naruto, and he did the throw. So it was them, or the jubi would have no reason to attack them over such great distance.


Regarding Obito. I still believe he should see through it, but Kakashi probably thought about this as well. They both have sharingan/rinnengan and can see them coming through the air over large distance. They should also be able to see through some transformed tentacle, unless of course it was transmitted back to this world through kamui, though I am not sure that is what actually happened..
