So, as we all know.. Mei is the Mizukage of the Hidden Mist Village. Since she's not completely over-powered and most likely the weakest Kage, people consider her "weak" and that's completely wrong. There's a difference between not being overpowered and being weak. But people don't feel like realising that *sigh* So I'm deciding to attempt a Mei analysis.
Mei doesn't have too much screen time, and when she does she isn't really fighting too much. But, I might as well try to show you what she has.
Ninjutsu

Intelligence

Note: I know I'm not too good at making these, it's just I learn more about characters this way and if I made an analysis thread like this I'm more likely to retain the information I've learned. Sorry if it's mediocre.

Meis main form of offense is Ninjutsu, and I don't blame her, seeing as how she has five nature types, two of which are Kekkei Genkeis consisting of:
Boil Release
Lava Release
Water Release
Earth Release
Fire Release
Mei is NOT to be taken lightly seeing as how she can use a variety of nature types to change the landscape or use their nature types against them.
For example, during her "fight" with Sasuke at the Five Kage Summit, she took advantage of the fact that she was in a small room with only 1 exit. So she sealed off the exit using Lava Release: Lava Globs (
Another jutsu that shows off Meis expertise is the Water Release: Water Encampment Pillar (

) which is an amazing jutsu. She can control the pH of mist in a given area, even capable of melting the Susanoo! I shouldn't put a spoiler for this because we don't see much of Meis taijutsu capabilities and there's little evidence supporting this on the matter, but I want to stay organized so oh well.
One thing about her taijutsu that I'd like to point out is when the Black Zetsu went to go attack the feudal lords, Mei kicked him once, which sent him flying back out of his hiding spot. This can conclude the fact that Mei does indeed have Taijutsu capabilities which she's yet to show off.

Intelligence
Mei, a very intelligent person who's had quite a few feats throughout her screen time in the Manga that prove this.
She is very calm and observant in battle and can pick up on slight discrepancies in other person's personality as seen when she was able to detect the difference in Ao's behaviour when Fū was inhabiting his body.
Mei is also open minded seeing as how when Gaara wanted to talk but the Tsuchikage didn't care to hear him, Mei stepped in and let Gaara say what he wanted.
Even in battle, Mei uses strategies that puts her in an advantage at all times. As I said earlier, Mei used Lava release to close off the room because she knew if she used Boil release before hand all the mist would just go right out the opening.

Chakra
Mei has an average to an above average amount of chakra which is good, but it's not what is impressive about Mei. What is very impressive about Mei is her chakra control. She is excellent at controlling her chakra and manipulating outside forces to bend at her will.
The Water Technique: Water Encampment Pillar which I mentioned above is a great example of her chakra control. To do this jutsu, the user has to knead chakra inside of them and then convert all the chakra they plan on using into water. Then after the water is expelled from the body, she can curve it in ever which direction she desires to make sure it's doing exactly as she pleases.
