Well, I have a question and a suggestion :3

Suggestion: Make a "Questions/Suggestions not worth making a thread for" for the general questions and suggestions section. I see that Naruto Discussion has one and it works well. Do people make more pointless threads? Of course, but it does lower that number? Yes again.
I don't know, seems like a good idea to me. And it doesn't really seem like it's too much work :3 up to you.

Question: So, I want to know how to make something like this " ".
Show a post that covers an entire window from a thread. Without having like, to show the other posts from that thread. [EDIT] Question answered, thank you.

I know this thread is somewhat ironic seeing as how I don't feel either of these should be worth making a thread for  Oh well, what do you think? Seems like a good idea?

For your suggestion it will be just like the search button, as people will never use it and will keep on making pointless threads that have been answered over and over again.

As for your question, if you click on the post number on the top right corner, yours would be (#1) just copy the url address and there you have it.

Well for your question just click on the number on the top right corner of your post to bring up a new window with just that post. Then just copy the url and do what ever you plan to do with it.

I understand your reasoning, but I would definitely use it personally, as would some other people I hope. Also, it's really not that much work in my opinion to set it up. Just make a thread and put a sticky to it .-. I don't really see how it could backfire or be a waste. I mean, if it turns out people really don't use it at all, then sure. Have the mods close it or delete the thread in general. But there's really not a down side to this idea :3.

As for the question answer, thank you for clearing that up.^^

Good suggestion, I've had thoughts of it some time ago. It would make a good addition to the stickies in this section. It would also reduce the # of threads with the same question, since people ignore the search features. But there's a high possibility the thread will be ignored also.

You must be registered for see images

To show a single post, click the number to the top-most right of the post. It will open a new tab, where you then copy the link in the address bar.

Still, questions like, "What is Kumi?, What is rep?,How do I do this and that?,etc..." this questions have been asked many times before, and have been answered as well, but people never bother to read the rules, and/or search for any threads about their questions, so in my opinion, it just wouldnt work out.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from.

But look at the thread I mentioned in my OP, 359 comments and 24 pages. Surely that's stopped a few threads from being made. So why couldn't the same logic be used here? I understand the questions will be repetitive, but I'd rather have a repetitive question rather than a repetitive thread.

Well that is entirely up to the admins/mods, I just feel like it would create unnecessary work for something that will surely be asked many times in the near future. It may due to their inability to read or comprehend or simply because of their laziness to search for an answer but I stand by what I said and predict there will be many threads like that.

@_@ I predict the future.

Heh, of course it's inevitable to stop all the "What is Kumi/Rep?" threads, but it could at least slightly lower the number of threads made. And it's not really to much extra work seeing as how they only need to make a thread and make it a sticky :3. Here, anyone can answer the questions a person asks. In my opinion, minimal effort with at least somewhat of a benefit. I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Or instead of opening up a new tab you can simply right click it and select the option: Copy Link location ;)

...and why is that exactly? #1 rule of any forum is to read the rules, lol.

I have an idea, actually, and maybe I should even start a thread for it too. The NarutoBase bot that sent me a welcome message when I joined could simply have a link in it and says something like "don't forget to read the rules before posting" (or maybe something more friendly). The link could be obvious and hold all the rules for NB (or links to all the rules), this could seriously reduce spam. :D

You see, you'd think that. But time and time again, people are asked to "read the rules" or "read the FAQ" etc. etc. but people don't feel like abiding to those rules, hell. I didn't even do that when I first came here, although I used logic to differentiate between right and wrong, and roughly a week or so later I went and read all the rules and whatnot.
People just seem to not read the rules of any site they join, and only a fraction of those people read the rules some other time. Thus resulting in large amounts of spam.

You just joined so you wouldn't really see it just yet. Give it a bit and you'll see those continuously repetitive threads being made that have been answered time and time again.

In my short time here, I've even seen repetitive threads, so that's how bad it is xd. Okay, maybe I'm just a freak (which is more than likely), but I read every rule from day one (except I did say hello in the "konnichi wa!" area before doing so).

So far I've only broken two rules, in one case I posted twice in a row, another I went officially off-topic (but apologized shortly after to the OP). I haven't been corrected for either, but it's not like I need to be, it won't happen again.

I guess what I'm saying is I have no sympathy for those that get infractions or are banned simply for not reading rules. I also think that at least putting all the rules in one place would help tremendously, more so if they were sent a link to such a list shortly after joining with a warning about the consequences of not reading them first. :y

Heh, those are minor offenses, usually looked over to be honest as it happens often. With your last paragraph, I feel the same way. And it would be a good idea to show them a link when they first join, although a large chunk (atleast over 90%) wouldn't read it. But hey, 10% would, so there is benefit.

Questions and Suggestions Want to ask something about the site or got a suggestion for the website / forum ? Post it here. Please do not ask Naruto related questions here, instead ask in Naruto General Questions. Before posting, please make sure your question hasn't already been answered in the

There is already a sticky similar to that and linked in the Forum description itself. Check that out. There are some tipc in as well.

Making a question answer thread will still be the same thing for some of these questions. Though I think we need to rearrange those stickies and do some major editting and additions.

And as well.

Mmm, I know they're there. This is for questions or suggestions that aren't brought up or solved in those threads, yet still need an answer. Although like my question, if it's not really worth making a thread for, it'd be much easier just to post it in a thread in which I'm describing.

I am not exactly rejecting your idea. Just my opinion- Our main problem is how to convince users that their question is not worth making a separate thread. ;)

Yeah, I understand the dilemma. A tough one to figure out, hopefully some of the veteran members know when and when not to make a thread for a suggestion/question because they understand what's deemed "worthy". Although for the new members, it'd probably take some time to understand.

The same thing happens with the other thread I posted in my OP >.>
A good amount of people don't really think about if it's "thread worthy" since that section doesn't seem to have high standards. Hopefully people realize this section is taken a bit more seriously and would hopefully consider thinking twice before making a thread.

Although, we can't really tell for sure. But wouldn't the effort of making the thread be minimal and at least have some form of benefit resulting from it? So I say why not give it a shot? If it doesn't work out you could just delete the thread if necessary.

As I said in my first post that we need to fix those stickies and rearrange them. We will keep this suggestion in mind when we get to work on those.
