Background: The first thing that we know about Kisame is that his master Fuguki Suikazan assigned Kisame to guard the Cypher Division. During this mission, the group of people who had intelligence were back into a corner of a cliff. Kisame chose to kill his comrades to keep the intel safe from enemies. This nearly killed Kisame emotionally. Later in his life, he killed his master due to the fact that he was selling information. Due to this, he gained the sword Samehada and replaced his master in the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. The fourth Mizukage, Yagura, approached Kisame after this and commended him for killing one of the seven swordsmen, although Kisame saw through this allusion and saw that Madara Uchiha (Tobi) was the one controlling Yagura from behind the scenes. Tobi then revealed his Eye of The Moon Plan and after consideration, Kisame decided to join the Akatsuki. He proved to be one of the first and most loyal members of the Akatsuki from then on. After this, Kisame was considered an outlaw from The Land of Water and was also known to be spotted on multiple assassination scenes in the Water (Land of Water). This gave Kisame the name "Monster of the Hidden Mist". Kisame was known to be paired with Itachi Uchiha while in the Akatsuki, they both shared the bond of having killed the people closest to them.

(Anime only)

Kisames ninjutsu capabilities are extremely unique and are very effective in any situation. Anyone going up against Kisame should be intimidated, if they're not, then the enemy is obviously ignorant of his famous abilities.
Nearly any of Kisames ninjutsu put him on offense, some call this "assault ninjutsu". Kisames shark attributes also carry over to his ninjutsu style, seeing as how just about every one of his water releases are in the shape of a shark. His ninjutsu could also be used in a variety of ways. For example, Take Kisames shark bomb, seems like a regular offensive ninjutsu. But Kisame can actually go inside of the shark bomb and ride it over to his opponent, making it a threat and a transportation technique. This could be used to always be on the offense, or even to get away from an oncoming attack, a counter strategy per say. Kisame also wields the Samehada, which I'll go more in-depth later, but when Kisame morphs with his Samehada, his physical strength, endurance, physical resistance, chakra, and other variants increase drastically. And if that's not enough, if Kisame is fighting an extremely durable opponent, he has the ability to make a giant water dome by using . While in this dome, he has the ability to breath underwater with gills, while his opponent struggles to breath. This puts Kisame at a huge advantage on top of being completely buffed from his Samehada, the only way I could personally see him losing while in this state is if the user could escape from the water dome. But to do that they need to run away from Kisame because he acts as the center of the dome. That's easier said than done. Kisame also has extreme speeds while in the water, barely anything could outrun him in this situation.

Taijutsu
On top of enormous Ninjutsu capabilities, Kisame surprisingly enjoys taiijutsu more.
Kisame's main form of Taijutsu is Kenjutsu. (sorry, I catagorize these two under the same spoiler :3) Kisame possesses a special sword called , which probably has one of the most unique attribute of any sword in the series. Instead of cutting, which a normal sword would do, this sword shaves an opponent. On top of this, whenever Samehada makes physical contact with an enemy, it has the ability to take the chakra away from that enemy and allows Kisame to absorb said chakra. After absorbing chakra, it's shown that Samehadas scales tend to grow and it shows a mouth as well, with multiple rows of teeth.
It's also been said that Kisame then has the potential to be "immune" to genjutsu, as Samehada would have the ability to snap him out of it. Although it's argued that Samehada wouldn't be intelligent enough to snap Kisame out of the genjutsu. It's really up to you to decide, I'll stay unbiased.
Kisame when combined (not morphed) with Samehada could prove to be a deadly combo, Kisames brute strength on top of being hit by a sword is naturally a fatal hit by itself, but on top of that the two of these have so many attributes that it seems silly to think a person could beat him.

Kisame also has purely brute strength (as I mentioned above) that's notable during this analysis. For example, during the fight between Gai and Kisame, Kisame had the available time in itself to outmaneuver Gai in Taijutsu (keep in mind Gai is a taijutsu master) and have the opportunity to hit him, when Kisame took this chance, Gai got punched and went straight to the bottom of the lake. Kisame was also able to overpower Asuma in raw strength when he was able to get through Asumas chakra blades with Samehada and his raw strength.
Kisame also has enormous physical resistance as well, he survived a normally fatal hit from Gai during their fight and was able to live, and later have the energy to break out of Yamatos chakra infused wood which was surpressing his chakra (through raw strength).

Intelligence
Although it's not Kisames strong point, he has shown a decent amount of intelligence throughout his appearance within the series.
For example, during his first encounter with Bee, he was able to deduce the nature type and fighting style of bee very shortly. It's also assumed that Kisame had a lot of general intelligence due to the fact that he was in the Seven Swordsmen, was on many important missions to guard intelligence (like the Cypher Division) and so on.
Kisame also was shown to be quite creative while in combat. He's able to come up with new ways to use old techniques (like using a ninjutsu for transportation, not for attack). Also, he had a general understanding of things such as summoning techniques.

Sorry about the lack of intelligence on Kisame.

Chakra
As we all know, Kisame had ridiculous amount of chakra, those of which that compare to a tailed beast, giving him the name "The Tailless Beast". For example, Karin, upon sensing Kisame, stated she had never seen so much chakra in one place. Even when he fought at 30% power in one instance, Neji compared his chakra supply to that of Naruto. Also, since Kisame has Samehada, he's able to absorb chakra to take away the enemies and give some to himself, a double win for Kisame, and it doesn't take too much effort to do so.
Surprisingly, Kisame without Samehada has the ability to absorb charka, although it may not be on such a large scale as Samehada. For example, Aoba used his Secret Technique Stone Needles in an attempt to paralyse Kisame, who instead just sucked the chakra through the threads and exhausted him.

We barely have any information on him, I wouldn't be able to put a thorough analysis together for him . Although it'd be pretty cool if I could.
