Background: When Kakuzu was still a ninja for his village, he took on a mission given by his higher ups to go assassinate Hashirama Senju. He failed due to the fact that Hashirama had superior powers such as Wood Release. When he returned home, even though it was an elite mission, the higher ups harshly punished Kakuzu for failing them and was imprisoned. After this incident, Kakuzu had a strong hatred for his village and escaped the prison and the village. During his flee, he killed the higher ups and stole their hearts, also having knowledge on the villages forbidden techniques. After this, he became a bounty hunter, killing strong shinobi and ripping out their still beating hearts to use for his own lifespan. Later, Kakuzu joined the Akatsuki and was given a number of partners in which he killed due to his short temper, eventually he was paired with Hidan and couldn't kill him due to his immortality.

Kakuzu has a unique aspect from any other shinobi when it comes to Ninjutsu, Kakuzu had the potential to use all five elements due to the fact that he stole other shinobis power after he killed them and used it for himself. I'll put a list of the elements just for organization.

Since there's so much to talk about with his ninjutsu, I'm going to divide this into each of his abilities with each release.
Earth mask: This heart had an earth-affinity. It allowed Kakuzu to use Earth Release: Earth Spear (
Fire mask: This heart had a fire-affinity. It could use Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work (
Lightning mask: This heart had a lightning-affinity. It could use Lightning Release: False Darkness (
Wind mask: This heart had a wind-affinity. It could use Wind Release: Pressure Damage (
Water: In the anime, Kakuzu could use water-based techniques. Kakuzu used the Water Encampment Wall technique (

). In the anime, even though this mask was destroyed, Kakuzu was still able to use the Earth Spear technique, though it only hardened his arm.Fire mask: This heart had a fire-affinity. It could use Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work (

) when Shikamaru threw an explosive tag at him, and also a Water Clone Technique during his fight with Kakashi.Taijutsu
Kakuzu had great raw speed and power to help him fight in close-ranged combat situations.
Some examples, while Kakashi was chasing Hidan with his Lightning Cutter, Kakuzu's raw speed was enough for him to be able to jump between the two to save Hidan. An example of Kakuzus raw power is the fact that he was able to block one of Chojis punches when he was enlarged. Also he was able to break down the impenetrable iron gate.
Kakuzu was also able to combine some of his ninjutsu abilities into his taijutsu strategies. For example, when he was fighting with Kakashi, who is pretty skilled in Taijutsu himself. Kakuzu used Earth Release: Earth Spear (link above in ninjutsu section) to harden his arm to be able to block/give a more devastating punch. This ability overwhelmed Kakashi and was forced to draw back.
This Earth Release: Earth Spear helps Kakuzu live seemingly fatal blows with barely any visible evidence of the attack. An example is him being able to withstand Choji's surprise ambush without any visible damage.

Indeed, Kakashi does have an average to low amount of stamina, but Kakuzu wasn't even tired, he was perfectly fine at all times. Also, because of his unique body structure, Kakuzu is a highly enduring man, able to take a direct strike from Kakashi's Lightning Cutter without it hindering his performance. Kakuzus stamina is nothing to take lightly as he's able to use a variety of ninjutsu constantly, even combining some and it wouldn't tire him out at all.
