IMO this is a high difficulty fight that could go either way

I consider base Minardo an overall better fighter than Pein arc SM Nardo
he's faster, smarter and has hax S/T

Pein paths go down rather easily
the chakra sucker will go down with a kunai slash, the rest with slap or a rasengan

even if Minardo gets pushed by Deva he can switch places with a clone
CT could be a problem though, he better not give Deva the chance to use it

he also could fuse with Ma and Pa for SM just like J-Man

-SM makes literally no difference at all,, since it takes minato too long to knead the chakra,,,and he had never used it in real battle

-With full knowledge,, Deva can use ST to repel all the kunai away thus hindering the use of FTG for Minato,, and making it difficult for Minato to use his FTG to the full potential,,,,

-With Pein having full intel,,, he would know to keep the distance against Minato,, and to do so he will use multiple summons and shurado missiles to keep on putting minato on the defensive,,,,,

-On top of that with these multiiple offense,,,they are likely to cover the AOE that Minato sets up with his kunai,,,furthermore ST hhas been undetectable by the best of the best sensors, in the manga,, and the attack is near instant,,,so Minato closing the distance is also not very suitable since he is bound to get hit by ST,,,

-Minatos summons are also overwhelmed through jus one boss sized ST,, like it did in canon ,, or through cerebru,, chameleon,, and bird,,, the bird will also give the peins the advantage of flight which will help them keep the distance from Minato,,,

-Minato has no counters to CT,,, since it covers the AOE of his FTG here,, due to him having no prep time,, and the orb not being a projectile,,, nullifies his S/T barriier,,,,, which also ends the match for him,,,

Sm Rasengan killed off 3 of the six paths in maruto's fight with pain.
Base rasrngan killed deva.

Minato has shown both.

Pain wins Mid diff. Minato is to defeat pain with what? Speed lol...Well to achieve that speed i think that his kunais are his way of "Transporting" Minato throws a knife at Pain common reflexes say that pain will Almighty push the hell out of the kunai and out of Minato when he teleports leaving him to use his SM that still requires him to get close to pain to deal damage. But to make the fight easy for Pain Universal Pull Minato full force leaving no reaction time for him to do anything except to accept his fate. Then Pain will make Minato one of his own Pain.

Even a basic Rasengan can kill anyone of Pains bodies and only thing Minato can't handel in Pains arsenal is ST due to which he loses this match.Apart from ST he counters all jutsu's of pain and has what it takes to destroy pains even without SM.

With 0 intel on Pain Minato loses at mid-high dif against Pain.If he has intel and distance advantage then he beats all of them below mid dif.
