i think so because jiraiya had no knowledge of pain who he was or abillities and almost beat them
naruto even knew all of their abillities
and could hardly beat them
only beat them because of kyubi

think about this... how many paths of pain did naruto take out with the kyuubi and how many did jiraiya take out? that in itself will give you the answer to your own question. i am out.
Jiriya's performance against the paths was abysmal. He only killed one offensive path, and never faced the might of defensive paths such as Deva. The second he faced Asura path, he was brutally put down. I have no idea what people keep venturing in regards to this fight, but Deva alone uses 90% of Nagato's power for Almighty Push and CT. He's literally the power house of paths. Jiriya got killed without putting up any fight at all against Asura alone, Deva would have destroyed him.
Albeit Naruto lost to Deva before Kurama's power kicked in, he still defeated the rest. You are also forgetting that Naruto's SM is perfect, whereas Jiriya's is inperfect and takes a large amount of time to initiate. Sorry, but SM Jiriya is no where near SM Naruto's league.

Nagato already used some chakra fighting leaf shinobi and 1shotting the leaf
Naruto wouldn't of even taken down many paths if Deva was at full strength as the start of the battle
Pain didn't have the intent to kill naruto, Unlike he did whe fighting jiraiya
Jiraiya had no info, No prep, No summons pre-Prep, NO Sm pre-Prep.
Even Nagato/Pain admited if he hadn't of kept his secret, he might not of defeated jiraiya, Yet naruto who had full info with Prep got pretty much stomped asoon as Deva's power returned.
Also Jiraiya utilizes Sm/toads far better than naruto does, Combining jutsu's with toads for quite deadly results

Naruto's Sm maybe perfect, But Jiraiya's skill and experience at using Sm/Toads closes the Gap.
Naruto's SM itself is more powerful, but there are advantages to J-man's imperfect sage mode. For instance, he can use his tongue to grab and through enemies, and he can leap great distances on all fours (like a toad).
First off, there are some obvious advantages that SM Naruto has over SM Jiraiya such as sensory abilities, frog katas/fu, better healing abilities and physical strength enhancement compared to Jiraiya.
On the other hand, Jiraiya is much more versatile than Naruto. He may not have sensory abilities but he has his barrier which can detect motion which is a good substitute for the lack of sensory abilities. Naruto may have better taijutsu but Jiraiya has his hair needle defence which makes frog katas and ordinary taijutsu useless. It also acts as a good defence so Jiraiya may not have better healing abilities but he has a better defence to lessen the impact of attacks.
SM Naruto's main advantage over Jiraiya is rasenshuriken but Jiraiya's katon and doton variants are much more useful overall compared to one OP jutsu that Naruto has. Overall SM Jiraiya has more going for him especially since his combination attacks with toads is much more sophisticated than Naruto's.
Finally because Naruto's sage mode is perfect, the power gap between base Naruto and sage Naruto is very big compared to base Jiraiya and sage Jiraiya but base Jiraiya is on a whole other level compared to base Naruto so it offsets the much bigger advantage that Naruto gains.

Not denying the information point of your post, but that still doesn't alter his perforamnce against the paths. He literally fought nothing if you measure the power division among the paths.
The skill and experience do bridge the gap a bit, but in my opinion, Naruto is superior in SM.
