And actually I thought it over and realized that even the Kusanagi couldn't pierce the kyubi cloak, so I could believe that bijuus are more durable even though that is probably the only durability feat that they have, and we don't even know if every bijuu has the same durability.
Prime Hiruzen does not exist. He just sucks.
Tsunade has good chances in beating Minato. Tsunade has more stamina feats and Minato can't really kill her. Decapitation won't work, just because he cut a tentacle in half doesn't mean that he could do same to a constantly regenerating neck.
And could be that Itachi had just used tsukuyomi and was severely weakened and that would be the cause of "being scared" of fighting Jiraiya.
And Itachi probably didn't know the full extent of Kisame's powers.
