Tbh I wanted sharks since sharingdork had Kisame but some rule said that he can't teach me it because he wasn't a sensei (back then) so i cried (
I never really payed much attention to slugs until I read up on some slugs irl and how they can actually regurgitate digestive acids. I also had a sakura bio with the slug contract which peak my interest a little bit. Since this contract is not taken or develop by anyone else i feel as though i can work some things and invest in this u_u
Character and ability wise? I like how katsuya and her abilities. She isn't meant for pure offensive action, but her strong asset lies within her def/supp techniques, which i'm intending to make more my strong suit in fights. Defense is the best offense!. Chakra transferring, healing, acid and being able to break down her body into several other slugs (which i have a cj that works that way on my body)
I have several cjs in mind. I intend to make a slug mode too

Type: Offensive
Rank: B-Rank/S-Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20/40
Damage: 40/80 (+20 per turn)
Description:
Katsuyu inhales and exhales an acidic stream of mucus, that is both fast and large, covering a very wide area (proportionate to Katsuyu's size). The thick acid attaches itself to whatever it hits and starts melting it. Strong against Earth and most metals/solids, its also very good against fire as it can't be ignited. During a given amount of time, the acid will keep melting through the target, dealing damage to it as time goes by until its completely depleted of its acidic properties (keeps active for 3 turns). Katsuyu's clones can also use this technique, but to a lesser extent and range (B-Rank, mid-range).

I’m guessing you’re talking about the jutsu in the spoiler when you ask about a defensive technique. So yeah a good technique that would work with that could be a different type of mucus that the slug can spew out or even a signer of the contract (like how for the toad contract the toad signers can spew out oil like toads...I guess I'll make that into a custom z.z) that is sort of a ‘anti-mucus’ that covers the body to protect you from the burning/melting effects of the acid from the jutsu in the spoiler. Or maybe the user can even secrete it from his/her pores (custom idea for me ) which would work better. This mucus can also have slimy properties so that certain physical attacks ‘slip’ pass the body of the signer. Like taijutsu wouldn’t work because the user’s body is too slimy and slippery for a firm grip or landing of a hit. The signer could also use this slime to move around at a faster speed. Who knows maybe that mucus could also have a burning/melting effect too that the signer is immune to.
Another nice way of using it is in team battles, maybe the slug or user can place this mucus on their partner so that when they get near the acid and touch it, it won’t burn them. So while they have this coating of anti-acid slime on, the slug can continuously spew out acid at their signer’s opponents from long range and the signer and his/her partner won’t need to worry because with the coating on their body they won’t get burn ;o
Question though; Are signers of the slug contract immune to the acid from the ‘Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid’ technique? I know the slugs are immune to their own acid too right?
Now for your next question, I think the technique shouldn’t only be offensive. In my opinion it can be defensive and supplementary. Hear me out. You can use it when you’re trap in a corner (not literally) by some fortress summon around you by the opponent. A perfect example would be that nasty bone forest that the kaguyas can summon around the battlefield. With the acid, Katsuya can spew out a vast amount to burn down those bones and clear the path for the user to walk through. (which is why i need to make the user be able to spew i out too z.z you should make that for a cannon jutsu ;3 )
Now a dangerous offensive way to use it is you can have one of the small clones in your clothers, like near your chest or your collar sleeve hidden from view. When you enter short range, have the slug spit out acid (although B rank in power, it’s still dangerous) in their face or wherever while you the user does something else. It won’t take long since the summon just have to inhale and exhale it out.

I actually think I meant to say canon, ahaha, but that works as well. Your idea with having physical attacks slip off is something that's been done before, I believe, and the last time someone tried doing that was Penguin? Would be cool if you could implement it in a canon manner, however.
To be honest, I don't believe signers of the contract are able to survive the acid. There is no manga or anime proof either. For healing fluid or such from the slug itself, you definitely can survive it, but any offensive attack just isn't logical.
Eh, that's pretty broken. Hiding a mini power canon in your sleeves...actually, speaking of canon jutsus...would you mind creating some for the list? As long as they aren't notoriously OPed...

And there's just one more aspect of this canon summoning I'd like to emphasize on. Say that you were assuming a more defensive/support role in an all out war in NW - how exactly would you be using this summoning?

Easy, I would split its body up into as much clones as possible and have each of my teammates have a clone and heal them of their injuries. I would be in the back doing this of course, not in the front lines. u_u
