Neji just died. His seal was a bird in a cage (on the forehead). It was not random imo.
Kishi said he will develop sakura after Kakashi, so I doubt it will be random , but who knows.

good theory, but I for some reason i can't seem to make it fit into something that will happen or at least in my perspective, at this point if Sakura get's a Sage mode out of the blue, I will feel that is a Kabuto all over again (since that's practically what he did) :/ I don't want that for Sakura, so I honestly don't want her to get a slug sage mode.
First Hokage Sage Mode Might be Wood Sage Mode, Sentient plants are not out of the question. Hashi face Marking in Sage Mode are totally different from Tsunade. A Humid Fores can also be home to sentient Trees too.

Kishi will develop Sakura's power base on Her set abilities You can store chakra but you can't grow larger your chakra tank which is what Chakra reserves are. If we were to put both Tsunade and Sakura at the same age you would see Tsunade recover faster because of Her Senju and Uzumaki blood over Sakura.

It is possible to increase your chakra reserves. Storing chakra somewhere and letting your own chakra reserves regenerate back. This allows you to increase the total that you have access too. The yin seal/Hyaguko seal is basically a second chakra pool that you have access too, just as Kurama is one. Only difference is that the Yin seal is something that is created from your own chakra, that you have stored over time. You can see it as saving up money over time, to buy something big. Your monthly salary can still be the same, but you will have access to a bigger pool of money from your ''Yin seal/Hyaguko money'' that you stored up. XD

Yeah, but I guess there is some sort of limit though. A low chakra pool Shinobi can increase it, but will never surpass a high chakra pool shinobi who trains his stamina just as much.

Not everyone believed theories that the slugs are from shikkotsu forest, but in today's chapter it is confirmed.

Obviously you are not gonna list 3 sage mode places, if you are not gonna reveal 3 sage modes.
Kabuto from a new generation showed the snake sage mode and surpassed Oro from the old generation with it.
Naruto from the new generation showed the perfect toad sage mode and surpassed Jiraiya from the old generation with it.
It is even more likely after the confirmation of today's chapter, that Sakura will do a perfect slug sage mode.
Even if Hashirama and/or Tsunade from the old generation, have a slug sage mode(perfect or imperfect), than it would still be the way to go, to make someone from the new have one as well. The right choice would be Sakura.
It is likely that she will get it, than it will empower her existing jutsus and turn them into different versions. Just as Naruto uses different type of rasengans in sage mode, Sakura could use different type of jutsus too. But yeah, it is difficult to predict what kind of jutsus she will get, seeing how there are lot of possibilities. Maybe some poison attack, because slugs can spit poison, just as frogs can do frog kata and Naruto can do frog kata too.
