I think everyone had experienced it at least once or will experience it, probably, from my experience it happens only when you sleep on your back with you hands on your chest, avoid that and you probably won't have it again, or at least that's what I figured.

That is some scary shit going on here. I mean I always sleep on my stomach with crossed hands on my chest so I doubt I would get it tho I sleep walk sometimes and that is another reason why I doubt I would have that whole Sleep Paralysis. Don't say anything but once when I was sleep walking I knocked double window, have a scar to today.

Sleep paralysis happened to me about 3 times, it only happened to me when i have nightmares. When i opened my eyes i'd see a dark figure wearing a mask standing by my door, & i was unable to move or speak. :what:

This shit's crazy. Happened like 4-5 times to me. It's as if someone is on top of you.

Now this ones weird XD

I've experienced this thrice and everytime it manifested the same way in same situation lol.

1st time, school trip with my class in 1st or 2nd grade (elementary) roughly 18y ago

Our teacher knocks to wake us and how we didnt respond she starts to loudly demand an entry, I panickly wake up and run to the doors, but my hands are paralysed and I cant lift them, at all, for 4, 5+ minutes....scary stuff, I panicked that first time.

Other two times were almost the exact same situations xcept I was older...

I've also sleepwalked as a kid, up to the age of twelve. One time I've sleepwalked my way out of my apartent lol

XD

Ok weird question. I never experienced this but it's like you can't move and you see a monstrous shadow in front of you. But what if when that happens you are facing the wall? As in you are awake and paralysed but your head is directed at the wall. Like 10cm of distance. How are you supposed to see the demonic thingy then? lulz

I can definitely relate to everyone on this thread. It's hard to believe that these shadowy figures are hallucinations after you've had one whisper horrific things into your ears :/ real shit, scariest thing I've ever experienced.

So nice reading all your experiences and how every ones hallucinations are different from one another yet still see manifestations of shadows.

Just out of curiosity, was that shadow thing whispering in English to your ears or was it like language which we humans don't understand at all ?

At first it was speaking jibberish but then it began to make sense to me, and as I began to understand what It was saying I started getting images of dead babies and other creepy shit. Like I said, I'm not sure what I saw was real, maybe it wasn't.. However, there's just some things we as humans won't and will never understand an that's scary. Fear of the unknown.

I've had it once. The experience was terrifying, mostly because a nightmare probably induced it and losing control of your body isn't fun.

Fun fact: I was having a nightmare about a dark figure in my room who wanted to offer me something, but I couldn't remember what after he spoke. When I had the paralysis, I had this idea that someone was standing over me near the doorway.

These types of dreams were regular for me though (not the paralysis), so don't have a paranormal heyday with it
