If you have console, might as well get it. If you have PC, don't bother, you can mod better meshes.

For me personally, I never played Skyrim on my 360, so Im curious about the remaster for my PS4... HOWEVER, I refuse to buy any remaster/port of a game for full retail price. While I do believe I will get my moneys worth out of it for $60, on principle alone I will wait until I can snag it on PS4 for around $30.

And other mods for waaaaaaaay more material at no cost.

So yeah, PC don't bother.
Even if the retex is top notch & I only have a console I can't imagine spending $60 on a game I've already got just for better graphics. If you don't already have it for console? Your choice but it's probably down to $20 for console & even $40 for better graphics doesn't seem worth it.

That still doesnt do it for me. Skyrim was released in 2011 - that's half a decade ago. Now, my approach with remasters/ports is more often than naught a case-by-case kind of thing. In this particular case, you have to take into consideration the next Elder Scrolls game; Bethesda HAS stated that they are working on the next Elder Scrolls game, however it wont be for many, many years until we should even begin to even think about it. My guess is we wont catch wind of the next genuine Elder Scrolls game until at least 2020, maybe even 2021. With that in mind, it's fairly obvious why they're making a remaster of Skyrim - it's a placeholder for fans to have something to occupy themselves with and quench their thirst for possibly another half decade.

Because of that, regardless of DLC (old dlc, mind you), I cannot justify $60 on a game that I could just as easily buy for my 360 (which I still have and use) for a fraction of the price. Now, if they had developed a new expansion exclusive to this remaster, or had added unique features (coop maybe?), then sure I could throw down $60 knowing that Im getting something unique besides just prettier textures. The game's gorgeous as it is, so $30-40 is a much more reasonable price in this particular case, even with all the DLC included, and the updated visuals. But that is my personal opinion ;)

*edit: not to mention the fact that if you own the game on PC you get the remastered version as a free update. Steam had the Skyrim Ultimate Edition on sale for like $8 a few weeks ago (meaning you could have bought the remastered off Steam for $8), So why not sell the remastered console game at a discount price?

^ This. As long as your PC is strong enough you can run mods that make 2011 Skyrim look even better than the remastered version. Plus you get far more customization mods than what will be on console.
