Hello. Before we start, 2 things:

1. Every time you post, copy the link and vm me. Don't worry about cluttering my profile with links. If i don't reply in 1 day after you vmed me, vm again.

2. I'm gonna try something a little bit different, if that's okay with you. In the end, you will still be fully trained in every water jutsu up to your rank.

Shall we begin?
What is water?

Okay, thats fine with me.

Lets begin!

Water IRL
Water or H2O is a compound made up of hydrogen and oxygen. Water makes up 71% of the earth and is essential to life. water can come in many forms such as: vapour (steam), Ice and crystals.

Water in Narutoverse
Water or Suiton is one of the 5 basic elements. Water release allows the user to manipulate pre-existing water or create there own water from the chakra. Water is one of the most versatile elements out of the 5 basic elements, as the water jutsu can not just change shape, but also change form such as turning into a solid (ice) or into a gas (steam). Shinobi from Kirigakure seem to have more of a common affinity for water release than any other village.

Sounds really good. Do you have any more elements?

Hum, but have you seen other training threads and battle threads? You should have a fairly good understanding over all elements. What would happen if you confront or combine water with those elements?

Oh of course

Advantages
Water defeats fire, water + wind = faster stronger water and when water and lightning come together it makes stronger lightning as the water conducts the lightning.

Elements
When water combines with wind it creates ice, when water combines with fire it creates boil release I think it's called and finally when water combines with earth it creates mud.

Very well. In battle, you will be more likely to combine Water with Fire, because those are your elements.

Fire can be used to increase the temperature of a normal water jutsu. it can be used by heating up a water source, and then manipulate it into a jutsu. It would come out as boiling water, thus more dangerous. Also you can use water and fire to create steam. A powerful enough steam will act just like burning Wind, whereas even the more harmless of steams can still be used as a way to block your opponent's sight. Water has also some variants, one of which is oil. Oil burns for longer, which means you can spit a stream of oil, and quickly then use a fire jutsu/throw an explosive tag, and it will create a liquid stream of fire, burning hot, sticking to your opponent, damaging further.

Those are the combinations you can preform on your own. You can still create smoke screens from your opponents jutsus. But what other combinations can you preform using jutsus your opponent throws at you? Can you think of any?

Erm.. If the opponent uses a earth style jutsu I could use a water jutsu to turn the earth into mud, making the grounds more unstable. and there is making a smoke screen with a fire jutsu against a water jutsu or vice versa, as you said. I could use a fire jutsu against a earth jutsu to create lava. I cant think of anymore

That will not suffice. Look at the length of my reply and then look at the length of yours. If I can invest time on this training, so can you. Don't quit, think.
Your opponent can have Lightning, Wind, Earth, Water, or Fire. You can have Water. What will you do to turn your opponent's jutsu on himself?

:shy: Sorry sensei, ill try better

Erm lets think..

If the opponent uses a wind jutsu and I counter with a water jutsu I could use the wind to make the water jutsu have a larger impact area. If the opponent was to use an earth jutsu I could turn it into mud or just soften/change the direction all together, or if it is a defensive jutsu like a shield or something I could liquidate it with the water. If the opponent uses a fire jutsu I could create a smokescreen or a hotter water jutsu. If the opponent uses a lightning jutsu well erm im not sure how you could counter a lightning jutsu beause water conducts lightning.

What do you mean use wind to make water have a larger impact area?

Water is weaker than Earth, you need to balance that out, for you may not be able to counter the jutsu completely, or even liquefy it. Remember some Earth jutsus use rock.

While a steam screen can be achieved in almost any situation, hotter water jutsus will only be achieved if you use a water jutsu that, because of it's rank, carries on towards your opponent even after colliding directly with a fire jutsu. Which would be water jutsus from the same or higher rank as the Fire jutsu you're trying to block. Also when you collide the water jutsu with the fire jutsu, chances are the water jutsu will get splattered across your opponent, burning hot, increasing the area of damage.

That's exactly how. Water conduces water. So if you connect your opponent's lightning jutsu with his body, you will basically have him electrocute himself. For example, if your opponent is holding a Chidori and you materialize a large volume of water around his hand and then direct the water towards him, he will be eletrocuted by his own jutsu. Likewise, if you use a jutsu high enough, or with enough mass, you will be able to block/redirect lightning while powering up your water jutsus at the same time (If an opponent throws a lightning jutsu at you, and you throw an higher ranked water jutsu at him, chances are the water will absorb the lightning and continue towards your opponent electrified).

I'm not quite sure what I meant, but you could use wind jutsu's to speed up the water jutsu or to make a smokescreen. Actually I think I know what I meant know, if the wind jutsu hit the water jutsu the wind could force the water to become larger. I think that's what I was trying to say

But anyway, thanks for clearing the other elements up for me sensei.

If I got it right, you're meaning to say that because water is more tangible and thick than Wind, if you collide a strong/large water jutsu against a Wind jutsu, it would cause the wind stop and the water to spread out towards your opponent. But why would that be beneficial?

Also, you still need to analyze EarthxWater.

:shy: im not sure. I couldn't think of one so I went with that.

Erm, If the opponent uses a earth jutsu that involves firing numerous rocks at me I could use a strong water jutsu to change the direction the rocks, firing them back at him while the water jutsu is still coming towards him. If the opponent uses an earth jutsu that creates pillars I could use a water jutsu on the bottom of the pillar causing it to become weaker and collapse.

Yeah, redirecting earth projectiles is a good idea, and I like the last one too :)

Anyways, let's move on.

Basically all Water Jutsus can fall in 5 categories, which is what I'm going to teach you. They will vary in power as the ranks go up, but their techniques are pretty much the same:

Method 1: Basic Projectiles
Method 2: Streams/Water Sources
Method 3: Water Manipulation
Method 4: Alternative Releases (Water/Oil/Syrup)
Method 5: Specifics (Body Liquid)

The first method is about focusing water chakra from within your body and then materialize it as a quick and concentrated projectile of water. They all follow the same method, concentrate water chakra on your gut, mold it by using handseals and then spit it out.

Why? Do you want long hours of meditation?
Anywho, do what I asked you to do. Then think of ways this could be useful in battle, how to use it, etc.

No no no no no no. No meditation is good.

Im not quite sure what you asked me to do? You just explained the first method. So ill go with this:

Method 1 is useful for an opening move as the flying projectiles would occupy/distract the opponent allowing you to set up other jutsu, like shadow clones or a more powerful jutsu that may require hand seals.

It would also be useful for catching/throwing an opponent off guard, like if the opponent is trying to set up a powerful jutsu it would stop them doing any hand seals that may be required or it may make them resort to changing the jutsu they where about to perform in order to block the projectiles.
