[Question] Skin bios

I've always wondered why skin bios can't be allowed in the RP. I don't see any way that it would negatively impact the RP, and members would enjoy having it. It can easily be regulated as a prize for tournies, both village and across the general RP, or with the requirement of an extra mod permission. I don't see why they can't be implemented into the RP.

I might be confused by 'skin' do you mean a form of a picture, that has all the information needed/ required in the Bio template & also in order?

Eh, it'd be awesome if it was made more available. Like I said above, I don't see how it negatively impacts the RP, so why not.

Also, to follow up what I said above, wouldn't it be more original if people who had Wood bios after a while could possibly get permission for a skin bio for example? Like, you could it make so that one needs to have possessed the canon bio for a certain amount of time before they could get it as a prize or permission. Surely, that'd be more original than 10 Hashirama's running around.

Besides, you can always use jutsu to change your appearance, they just draw the line when it comes to make it permanent and official. Who cares about canons ? Only new people who have no posts and experience and about OP bios like Madara, Sasuke, Naruto and other strong canon bios but I'm sure that "Cali is already looking into it and trying to search for a possibility to make them available" like he does with every good suggestion that coincidentally doesn't get implemented on the RP

As Lili said, there have been instances where this has been allowed: Kawagiri's Crocodile Bio (Gaara), Yusuke's Sand Bio (was originally a Gaara Bio), and Akasha's Yoanna Bio (Konan). While it doesn't happened frequently or on a wide scale, it has happened before.

The examples Lili proved are fairly extreme. Kawagiri got his custom bio in, what, 2009? And Yusuke had the Jinchuuriki Gaara bio for years before he was allowed a custom version.

When we talk about skin biographies we are talking about a real, formal set of rules and restrictions.
And the argument that it somehow 'devalues' canon biographies? Who says? Should I not be able to choose the bio I want to have? Why does the Staff care if we have canon biographies or not? If it's the integrity of the series you're worried about I think we passed that when we let everyone learn all the five elements.

I never said the examples were recent, excluding the Paper Bio nor did I say they devalued Canon bios; I was just pointing out that it is indeed possible to gain permission for a canon bio to be different. I see no real need for specific rules for it tbh; same can be accomplished via a canon jutsu.

This is really really easy to implement and it'd add another dimension to the members' canon biographies. I can't possibly be the only guy who's tired of watching Nagato Uzumaki from Sunagakure clash with Mei Terumi from Iwa only to get interrupted by Nagato #2 from Konoha.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, especially the bolded. It'd also help people who can't really RP a canon bio to the fullest, but love the abilities.

I've tried for custom crystal for so long I just gave up trying to gain it. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. However I think once you've reached a certain level in the Rp. A bio skin is like one of the last things one could try for then. That or if you're lucky enough to catch that good day from the gods.

I've always disliked the idea of these 'Skins'. Don't know, feels like we're attempting to remove the canon aspect of the RP altogether, we already have very little of it. We should let the special bios remain..special. Plus, skins already exist as Lili and LoK pointed out, simply hard to get as it takes time and dedication to the canon ability you want on a custom character.

@Bold, no one is being prohibited of making the bio they want. You're asking for the character-bound abilities to be spread around for custom biographies. That, from my point of view, does devalue canon biographies. Who says? the very act of tossing their abilities to a custom bio says so, why make the canon one when I can put Rinnegan on my made up bio? <<< devaluation. Anyhow, that's just my take on the matter, personally I wouldn't pursue this ideal even if they let me put a Bijuu in one of my custom bios. Haha.
