Suigetsu as everyone should know had the gift of hydrafication and can turn himself into water. Look in the fight with Kisame how he charges him, liquifys and a second later he almost chops Kisame's head off. In theory couldn't suigetsu liquify, go down his opponents stomach and unliquify and chop his target in half(i say this because it would be impossible for the opponent to defend if he was in there stomach.

You mean can he use Sakon and Ukon's strategy? Probably not. In a liquid state he can't attack or be attacked. That's why he needs the sword.
