And appears the be following the "3 Sannin" animals, being Toad, Snake and Slug

I began to wonder to myself..if these people who master the Toad Art, Snake Art, and assumed Slug Art..

Would THE SAGE OF SIX PATHS have a Sage Mode? Or was he just so OP he was automatically the Sage of all Sage..? And if he did have a Sage Mode what would it have been :scorps:

I mean he started Ninjutsu, so someone would of had to taught those 3 Great Sage animals right? (Cheif toad, white snake etc..)

P.S, Slug Sage is assumed because of the Toad->Snake Sage modes, I am only assuming the 3rd is Slug, if there is even a 3rd.

But what Sage mode(s) did "THE SAGE OF SIX PATHS" possess, if he even needed them..
Surely he was called a Sage for a reason other then being wtf hax..maybe he mastered all the Sage modes, I assume theres 3 but could be more, like someone posted above..

Maybe there is 6 Sage modes..toad snake slug..dog? crow/hawk? um..turtle?

Also, since he started it all..I assume hes the one who taught the "Great Sage Animals" about it, maybe he had a circus of Sage modes he could use at will, I doubt he would even need to take in Nature Chakra..seeing as he pretty much was Chakra itself..discovering it and all, plus Juubi's vast amount of rape chakra..damn..

When you really think about it Sage of Six Paths was incredibly broken..

Natural Massive Chakra, Creation of all things, ALL THE TAILED BEASTS JINCHUURIKI..Rinnegan..Mokoton...really..plus possible multiple Sage modes?

When this guy was around I don't see how anyone would of been gutsy enough to start a conflict..

Actually three sage modes makes sense, but not because of the three sanins.
It makes sense because sage chakra requires three different types of chakra in order to create sage chakra.

If three different sage modes exist it's because each absorbs or processes nature chakra differently.

I had the same thought about the so6ps. To I said"RIkoudo senninin was the first sage of six paths he was the second and nagato was the third. Pein said to naruto " you became a sage mastering the same jutsu as jaraiya sensei" I don't think they were actual sages just they were so powerful. They were considered in the same league as sages. Either that or the rinnegan absorbs nature chakra along with ninjutsu.

This makes me ask the question of what are the differences of the many sage modes? obviously techniques but aren't all sage modes the same, taking in nature chackra ... so is there really gonna be a difference within the "perfect sage modes" since you stay the same(meaning no physical changes) this makes me think that the sage of six paths was just a sage, no animals involved. But then showed certain animals how to use nature chackra, therefore there would be ninjas in the future who can master nature chackra and become more like the so6p......(naruto) has been the only one to be shown to master perfect sage mode.

There are only 3 different kinds of Sages, UNLESS...

1) Kabuto was lying. There are more than 3 places to learn senjutsu.

2) More than 3 animals train at these three locations.

3) Sage of 6 paths = 6 Sage Modes

I think there might be more than just 3 Sage Modes,
because there are some people like the Inuzuka clan who
can move and attack like their pet.
And the sages do the same.

Kabuto --> Moves like a snake and transformes like one

Tsunade ---> Healing Abilty like her Snail

Jiraiya --> Uses frog jutsus like the oil techniques.

So If they are Sages and behave like their pets, then Kiba may
also become something simmilar to a sage.

there are 3 people who know sage mode, it isn't going around like hot cakes. the rinnegan is going around like hot-cakes, for a supposedly legendary dojutsu 3 people have it and sasuke doubtless will too.

anyway, my guess is that the sage of 6 paths possessed the original senjutsu, and the 3 summons (possibly his own? there have been theories of the elder sage being the so6p's summon), made senjutsu which is a derivative of the original. as in, naruto&jiraiya have some toad characteristics, kabuto/oro have snake, tsunade/sakura would have slug, but that's because they're taught by an animal summon. the sage would have no physical characteristics.
