Yes Ashura got power from daddy, but he died that same day when Indra attacked him. The Senju weren't special, they were a clan who fought together and trained hard, to the point of rivaling the most powerful clan and long time rivals The Uchiha.

When Hashi and Madara met both were considered veey talented. Hashi was often a step ahead of him so he's not really the same as Naruto. I kinda want to see how other transmirants lived and their level of strength.
