Simply the best Superhero type to be made?

Man of steel launched its new trailer . Trailer number 3. It is simply smashing on Ironman 3's trailer which was simple, just like the movie itself is. So what do you expect from the movie? Greatness?

It is also said to be the best movie of the year by critics who saw the screening.

If this movie lives up to the hype.. then DC has just smashed on Marvel on the account on individual superhero movies?

No clue, he hasn't said anything about it. But hes definatly not going to be directing it. Just like this one. Nolan was the producer, but the one who got everything together was Snyder. lol. Nolan did say he was pretty much done with making superhero movies lol.

But he probably or maybe change his mind?

Only if superman was wasn't a god =p. Batman or Superman are basically the base of all main superheroes.

Ironman 3 is going to be out of theatres by the time Man of steel comes lol *_* So you can see them both. And also, superman even though he is considered "overpowered" always has a rival. Its just people

Supes is the first "Super" hero. Bats is the first intelligent/rich/detective hero.

Loyal Ironman fan here. The trailer for Man of Steel looks interesting enough, but at the same time could be misleading. I've never been an incredible fan of Superman, always felt he was too OP, always liked the normal human become super trope. Batman, Ironman, sort of Hulk, etc.

Yeah, the movie seems beast, I'm gad DC are making great movies, they deserve it, to be honest I like DC more than Marvel so I'm really glad DC movies are getting good. Can't wait for this one, my fave hero s Batman but Superman is also cool.

I'd say marvel is more "action packed" while DC movies have a better storyline and overall a better way of showing that storyline. In terms of that, yea, the movie is better.

if you wan't to brainlessly watch an action packed movie, which all of us enjoy now and then, Iron Man seems much better.

What I always expect from a Nolan movie is an underlying theme of human behavior. Like in TDK, it shows that people are better than they think they are when they were planning on blowing up the boat with the prisoners, but they couldn't do it. Then in TDKR, when push comes to shove, people will fight for their lives when necessary, that they are stronger than they think they are.

I expect something of the same in Man of Steel. Like an outsider trying to fit in and stuff like that.

Both are unrealistic. Batman is considered more realistic because he is a human. Superman is considered unrealistic because he is a alien from another planet.

However the job for "superman" is that he inspires "HOPE". He is very much the same as Batman. But he shows that a powerful guy doesn't always have to be a dictator. There is equal amount of "depth" into both characters.

Yeah, Nolan is very good at setting the tone for a movie.

Snyder has tons of potential as a director. 300 is epic. And Watchmen was pretty great as well, imo. He's shown in those movies, and in Sucker Punch, that he definitely knows how to do action, and putting epic characters on the big screen.

I've only ever seen him in a healing coma or another dimension

p.s. did you know that superman and wonder women once helped thor fight off a "never ending" army ....for 1000 years

I've always preferred Marvel over DC growing up, but DC is making some good movies.

They're coming up with good standalone movies (The Dark Knight Trilogy), but they're still trailing behind Marvel's Cinematic Universe. They need to get their act together and get started on a road towards Justice League.
