simple trig need help

oh woops i thought it was adding log with log nvm, but then again thats as far as i know what to do with it

It's been a while since I did it, but I think I remember that we have to cancel the logs, otherwise they would still be in the problem.

log(x+10)=1+log(4x-3) ok so.

log(x+10)-log(4x-3)=1
log((x+10)/(4x-3))=1
raise both sides with the base 10
(x+10)/(4x-3)=10
x+10=40x-30
39x=40
x=40/39

hopefully it's right? I did it off the top of my head

Sorry I couldn't have been much help. xd It's been a while since I did that stuff. I think what he did was right too. I'm willing to help with any other trig stuff if you need it in the future.

Yes, but you can only do it if the bases are the same.
