It's common knowledge that all combatants revived with Edo Tensei are gifted with limitless chakra.
-So why are Hashirama's clones weaker than him?
(Apologies, I'm fairly new and don't know how to link yet, but to support my statement Marada expresses boredom at Hashirama focusing all of his energy on the clones rather than him "Original" body)
-Why is it that the second can only summon 2 Shadow Clones?
And other instances where we see, to see a "Limit" on how much chakra an Edo can dish out.
I theorize that this is for two central reasons. (Plot no Jutsu not included ^.^)
1. A limit in the user's level of chakra control.
- Remember, Jutsus don't just work by sending chakra to an area, they have to mold it, form and portion it to suit the jutsu they are using. All of this requires a certain mental dexterity gained through practice.
To better relate somewhat, imagine to gain an erection a man had to first imagine a set of tits, mentally channel the blood to his member all while working the finer muscles and veins to ensure that the blood flows evenly from base to tip. Failure or lack of focus could result in a massively swollen "head", (try using that "Just the tip" line on Sakura now Lee >.>) a very limp member or worse, injury to the entire unit. (Really makes you appreciate the simplicity of fapping now doesn't it mates?) Oh yeah, and all is this has to be done while she's in the bed waiting for you, growing ever so tiresome of the wait.. (An analogy of course, to all of this being done in battle) No pressure at all, chap... No pressure.
2. The manga doesn't seem to show an explicit "afterlife" so the dead can't learn new techs. In other words, though the chakra is limmitless, the Edo can't come back knowing more than they did before they died..
So if said theoretical fapping-nin only knew how to massively "swell your tip" before he died then although he would return with limitless chakra, it would seem that instead of being Jiraya's answer to Viagra, he would instead only be able to endless make uncomfortable balloon animals with his member. Much to his dismay I'm sure. (As Orochimaru watches intently from the corner...)
I reckon if given time, an Edo could perhaps exceed their mortal limits infinitely if given time to train, but most Edos are summoned in battle and they don't seem to last too long outside of it..
(Something about unlimited chakra (fapping) zombie that must be pretty unsettling)
