Simple question.

If Naruto series has better story telling than DB/DBZ why it had lower sales count to volumes ratio compares to DB/BDZ series and sold less copies than DB/DBZ series? Why? Majority of people admitted that Naruto head and shoulder above DB/DBZ.

DB/Z is the past, too simple, less imaginative, less creative etc where Naruto series is the current standard, it leaves DB/Z in the dust in term of story telling.

Naruto series - 700 chapters=72 volumes=230 million copies.

DB/DBZ series - 500 chapters=42 volumes=250 million copies.

Naruto should sells far more copies than DB/Z.

Where is the wrong here?

I don´t know really people have their own reasons. For me Naruto story telling is better compared to DBZ. Also DBZ is ruined with those crazy power levels. Not interesting to me anymore.And yes fights are way too long with a lot of talk for my taste.

But this is just my own opinion .

Also keep in mind when DBZ manga was created majority of world didn´t even have PC or Internet so they had to buy manga to read them. Also with no PC there wasn´t many other sources of fun for those young people. Now you can just go online and read Naruto for free.

Yeah I know that but I always heard people said Naruto series has better story and development. So by that logic Naruto can sell more copies than DB/Z. It has far more volumes and chapters compares to DB. And its far more popular in this current generation post DB era. Naruto is for new gen and came with new standard of Story writing. Had more depth than DBZ. The stories that born after DB the likes of OP, Naruto, Bleach, HxH.

Sure at that time they had limited internet support and hardwares but in 1996 many parts in my home town there were shops/centres where people can rantal or read books, comics and mangas. Mostly a bookshops, they have such service there so people who couldnt afford to buy DB/Z manga can visit the nearest book store and read it in a given duration of time. Sure they need to pay some amount but still cheap.

But for hardcore fans they still wanted to collect the volumes and be proud of that no matter what the cost.

I have extreme dislike for dbz past friexa arc. I love Dragon ball it was more reasonable at that time.

You're asking, like, which is better Samsung or IPhone. There are several reasons DBZ is making more sales than Naruto. DBZ is popular in most parts of the world, whereas Naruto is mainly popular in Japan and the United States.

Naruto is undeniably the better series than DBZ, from characterization, plot and powers. It's true Naruto has declined in quality over the past years, but it still remains far better than DBZ in my eyes.

i think the main reason is because during dbz time/era there was no easy way to stream the chapters online, the day after it was released


also in terms of storytelling, dbz was indeed pretty shallow. everything after frieza was pretty much asspulled or ****ed up. it was still pretty entertaining though and i mean at least it had a decend ending, unlike naruto which sucked the big one.... lol

oh how much i hate that word. yea it is my actual name and you cant imagine how often people bring out stupid hitler jokes. funfact though: the race hitler referred to isnt actually aryan. it was the nordic race. (tall, pale blond ahir, blue eyes etc..) arians are iranians/persians. (iran literally means land of the aryans) i doubt hitlers "ideal human being" was a persian, since most persians have dark hair and dark eyes, hell some have even rather dark/tanned skin. please stop spreading that nonsense T_T
