For those who frequently watch the show you have to Annette that adventure time can you really deep emotionally. There are some people who don't seem to understand that there is some really good backstory and creative writing behind the characters. The show might seem like it's set towards a younger audience I feel like the humor and the story is meant for teens and older. And the story behind Simon and Marcy is really good to me.. If you go to look at some of the theories that they have for the show and some facts they have hinted through the show it's actually pretty dark in some areas like the mushroom war and stuff.
