Both are centuries old, black, and are mastermind manipulators.

They are responsible for shaping their respective universes by setting the stage for everything.

BZ created Akatsuki and Father created the Homunculi. Major groups of villains in each series.


Father gathered power by stealing the souls of millions into the ultimate philosopher stone. He did it using the Moon.

Black Zetsu gathered power by stealing the chakra of millions attempting to create a Fruit. He also did it using the Moon.

Except the difference here is Father used the power only for himself and BZ used it for Kaguya.

Well Hashirama and Madara are already from over 80 years in the past. And BZ stated that there were many generations of transmigrants before they were born. So centuries seem more accurate being that Hashi and Mad are already 1 century into the past.
