First things first, this is not a tobirama dissing thread. I know that a lot of hate threads have been made because of what we found out about Tobirama in the last few chapters or so. This thread is to merely point out similarities between Tobirama and Macbeth.
For anyone who does not know, Macbeth is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare about a general who receives a prophecy from three witches that he will become King of Scoutland. Also, Macbeth's closest friend Banquo is with him when he receives his prophecy and he also gets to hear his prophecy. The witches told him that he would not be King, but his son will become King of Scoutland. To make a long story short, Macbeth kills King Duncan to become king thus fulfilling his prophecy and later becomes crazed with keeping the throne. In other words, he becomes a tyrant bent on keeping his power. He remembers that his closest friend Banquo received a prophecy that foretold of his son becoming King. in order to stop this, he tries to have banquo and his son fleance murdered. He succeeded in getting Banquo killed but Fleance escaped. Later in the play, Fleance comes back to Scoutland and kills Macbeth thus he becomes the new King of Scoutland. If anyone didn't notice Banquo prophecy came to fruition.
The point I am trying to make is that the very thing that Macbeth tried to prevent he wound up causing. This is the same as Tobirama since the very thing Tobirama tried to prevent, he wound up being the catalyst for it to come to fruition.
P.s. kudos to anyone who has read Macbeth and if you haven't read it, I highly recommend you read it.
