Looks: Two of Rayleigh's most distinguishing traits are his round glasses and facial hair, which is arranged in a stripe-like pattern across his lower jaw. He also has a scar over his right eye, which he has had for many years. When he was younger, Rayleigh had strawberry blonde hair, clean cut, and had a moderate amount of facial hair. Over the years, as his hair whitened, he grew it out. He also grew a beard from his initial striped facial hair. During his first appearance in he was seen wearing a t-shirt with an ornately decorated collar, a motif that appeared even in the long coat he wore during the Third Shinobi War. He currently wears an orange shirt, light-brown spotted bermudas and simple sandals. He also has a silver-colored coat hanging from his shoulders.
Personality: Rayleigh is light hearted, casual and fun loving, much like his friend Gol D. Roger was supposed to have been. In the past he was shown to have been intolerable to the antics of the younger members arguing, and took the position of crew disciplinarian very seriously. He seems to have enjoyed talking about the past, although he seems reluctant to speak about certain topics like the Shinobi Wars. As stated by many, he loves alcohol and women, which he proved when he's seen saving a woman from being mistreated by a Daimyo while holding a hip flask. He prefers to be called "Ray-San".

- Wind: Silvers' primary elemental affinity is wind. Due to the Uzumaki clan's blood relation to the Senju, Silvers acquired the trait of being exceptional at a particular skill, and this skill was the wind element. Over the years he has become a prominent user of the wind element and can preform some of the most complex wind jutsu with one hand seal.
- Water: Silvers' secondary elemental affinity is water. While hes not at the same level as he is with wind, he is capable of using water jutsu with less hand seals than the average shinobi of his rank.
- Fuuinjutsu: As an Uzumaki, Silvers is naturally gifted in the arts of sealing techniques. His years with the clan left him with a wealth of knowledge in the sealing arts, but due to his early departure he was unable to master them to the fullest.
- Taijutsu: Despite his old age, the longevity of the Uzumaki clan has allowed Silvers to remain a significant threat in hand to hand combat. Through the use of Zen's taijutsu and kenjutsu, he can hold his own against almost anyone in physical combat.

History: Silvers was born in Uzushiogakure around the time of the creation of the village system. He quickly grew to excel as a shinobi and this was recognized within the village at an early age. By the age of fifteen he was already acting as a personal guard to the village head. The young Silvers had always had the urge for adventure, often getting into trouble for rushing into situations. On multiple occasions he had gotten lost and needed rescue. As a personal guard to the village head he had little opportunity to explore in his teenage years. But his chance came soon enough. During a trip to Konoha for a meeting between Hashirama and the head of the Uzumaki Clan, Silvers made a request. He asked for permission to remain in Konoha and explore the rest of the world. While the village head was apprehensive about letting go of a strong shinobi, he realized that this was something Silvers needed to do, and thus, allowed him to leave.
With the freedom to explore Silvers quickly began his own adventure. He didn't stay in Konoha long, though during his time there he did meet up with a man named Gol D. Roger. Together the two departed Konoha and began exploring the world. They went from village to village adding a new member to their crew at every turn. They soon became renowned shinobi around the world. Though with that fame came danger, bounties were placed on their heads and the prices kept rising. Eventually the crew arrived in Amegakure where Silvers met an Uchiha named Akiza of the Black Rose.
She agreed to train him in several things including a few elements, taijutsu, genjutsu and the secret Rain Style of Amegakure. The crew soon departed from the Rain, however Rayleigh left a part of him behind. Silvers was known to be quite the womanizer and had met a woman during his stay in Amegakure. Though he never knew it, he had impregnated this woman who would later give birth to a daughter. This daughter would later pass on her Uzumaki blood to a son, whom she named Nagato.After leaving Amegakure, Silvers and the crew continued to explore around the world searching for the true history. Along this journey Silvers met many more people and was taught by the likes of Chiryoku in the arts of Zenryoku Taijutsu and Scarface in the arts of sealing. He also was taught some secret style by Scary Yamato, but for some reason he can't remember how to use it any more. Eventually the crew seemed to explore every corner of the globe and discovered the true history. During that time the crew had racked up impressive bounties that made it dangerous to show their faces in public. Silvers had a particularly large bounty on his head after the destruction of his home, Uzushiogakure during a recent Shinobi War. Rogers had also become ill with an incurable disease and they realized their adventures were coming to an end. The crew disbanded and with Uzushiogakure destroyed, Silvers returned to Konoha.
Once back in Konoha, Silvers decided to live a much more calm and peaceful life. He changed his last name from "Uzumaki" to "Rayleigh" so that he could avoid the numerous bounty hunters who were after his head and began working as a carpenter in the village. He did this for many years seeing the reign of many great Hokage such as Xylon, The Pervy Sage and Lord Danzo. The village was destroyed a number of times, but each time Silvers survived and aided in the reconstruction of the village. However after the last episode, Silvers has decided he can no longer sit back and allow the village to be destroyed. After seeing the many injured villagers, Silvers tracked down the famed medical shinobi, Nexus, and began training in the medical arts. Under the leadership of the Nidaime Hokage, Izuna Uchiha, Silvers decided to return to his role as a Shinobi and protect the village he has grown to love.

Weapons: Silvers carries a sword on his right hip along with several pouches along his waist which hold numerous ninja weapon. These include kunai, shuriken, wires, explosive tags, smoke bombs, flash bombs and other seals that are needed for sealing techniques. He also has a pouch full of marshmallows which he uses for his marshmallow style.
