First and foremost I respect Kakashi and I admit he is strong but keep in mind he isn't reckless. He just stitched himself because he has a wound. Do you guys honestly think that he will be fighting after doing something like that? He isn't superman. I think it will be a long time till we see him go back out into battle again.

Sorry if it sounds like a vent but I feel people are overestimating Kakashi here. o-o

Well, from a realistic standpoint, there are medics on the battlefield. Primarily Tsunade and Sakura. So properly healing that thing up wouldn't be an issue.

It depends how deep the wound is. Depending on its severity, it may take Kakashi a while which means he is going to have to take the bench for a longer time.

I would like to see that but I would prefer if Naruto took care of this one. I doubt Kakashi has SM or any type of senjutsu ability. It would end up being counter-productive not to mention he would just get slaughtered since this isn't regular Obito anymore.

At the moment he is resting , he might not have plenty of chakra to Kamui himself back to the real world , but since it seems like obito will be TNJ soon , I think this time we'll see Kakashi sooner rather than later , i'm thinking 2 weeks .

im sure kakashi is going to fight. who recovers and goes back to a warzone if they are not going to fight...why not wait. im sure kakashi is not fully recovered. so if he was not going to fight why not just sit there and wait until he is 100% and come back. ofcoarse kakashi will come back and fight...thats a no brainer

I have a feeling he's going to come out of the blue at some point to save Naruto and sacrifice himself. Just my opinion, but I believe it's because he's the closest person there is to Obito and the fact that we need a very dramatic death for this war. Neji and Shikamaru ( not confirmed ) didn't come close to making me sad, simply because of how fast they did them both. I think Kishimoto is deliberately doing this to save the spotlight for a more major character, namely Kakashi.

Another reason is because Kakashi's character is hitting boiling point. He's at his full point in development where his story will be resolved with the death of Obito. This is quite often a sign in anime and manga that the character is about to die, but this is only if they've either been around for a long time or aren't a major character.

Shikamaru and Neji are majors characters, definitely, but Kishimoto can't make squeeze 3 dramatic deaths into one fight or it will get repetitive.
