As Kirikoe sits upon a rock, gazing up towards the cloudy sky, he soon finds that he's not alone. Indeed, should he look down, he'll soon see a small monkey approaching with a sealed envelope. Should he take the envelope and read its sealed content, he'll understand that there has been a change in training plans and that he is to follow the monkey elsewhere. The new location is in the heart of the nearby forest. Once Kirikoe arrives, he will be greeted by a group of monkeys playing around in a small river and Koumei, who is just finishing a meal. Koumei will see you as you approach.

Kirikoe was sat upon the rock gazing at the sky, the cloud would drift past endlessly all in different shapes and sizes. Kirikoe had almost forgotten why he was there until a small monkey made its appearance which appeared to hold a small envelope, the monkey would jump onto the rock bounce on the spot for a few seconds awaiting for Kirikoe to take the envelope, taking the envelope and opening it to reveal its contents it informed Kirikoe that there was a change in training plans.

Kirikoe stood on top of the rock giving off a small stretch "Guess its time to get going then". The monkey would simply jump off the rock and lead Kirikoe into a nearby forest, moving deep into the forest until they had reached a river which flowed in the heart of the forest itself, almost as if it was the blood of the forest allowing it to live.

Kirikoe upon arrival was greeted by a small group of monkeys as well as a person who was just finishing their meal it would seem.

As Koumei concludes his meal, he observes that the monkey he had sent off as a messenger had returned, with student in tow. Quickly sizing up the young man, Koumei beckoned him to come hither, so that he could formally introduce himself. "Well, hello there. I'm glad you could make it, even though I wasn't your anticipated instructor for this particular 'art'. My name is Koumei Ren and, I am the one and only Monkey Shishou! Before we delve into the contract, I've got a few questions for you pertaining to why you're here. First, are you familiar with the Summoning Technique (generic) and learned how to use it? Second, what does a summoning mean to you, in your own words? Third, I want to know why, in particular, you seek the Monkey Contract. Lastly, describe yourself with just three different adjectives."

Kirikoe as soon as reaching the heart of the forest was soon called over to the man for introductions it seemed, Kirikoe was not expecting this person, however he seemed friendly enough and was soon welcomed by the man. "Hello to you too, and no i was expecting someone a little different however no matter as long as its someone capable and who can train me well then im more than happy. Koumei ren was it? My name is Kirikoe Katsuryoku and I look forward to training with you."Kirikoe simply listened as Koumei asked his questions in which Kirikoe would soon reply, "Yes the summoning contract I have indeed learnt however I am sad to say I have yet not signed an animal contract, hopefully that will change today.

What does a summoning mean to me? Well not a question I was expecting, I suppose I seek companionship, something I can count on and aid me in my times of need, A summoning is something that I dedicate my life to and vice versa, im not sure if this was the answer you were looking for but im afraid its the best I got.

The monkey contract. Its unique and the most human like of the animals ive considered. most of all its because I rarely see the summoning used and I want to make it one of the best and show people what the monkey contract can really do.

No I haven't used it as this will be my first contract, Since learning ninjutsu I haven't had a fight where I have yet to use it but I look forward to doing so as i have a fair few idea's.

No longer speaking, Koumei instead removed a large scroll from within his robe. "Well, this is the scroll that contains all the signers of the Monkey Contract. I need you to draw a bit of your own blood, just enough to write your name out. Once you've signed the contract, we can move onto the next and most exciting phase: techniques!" With care, Koumei moved to open the scroll in front of his person, facing his student, however.

"Well thats good to hear" Kirikoe watched Koumei pull out the large scroll from his robe, Kirikoe listened to Koumei as he explained about the scroll, after listening Kirikoe simply bit into his finger tearing skin and making a whole, blood began to pour out of the wound, "woops I think I drew to much blood, oh well.." after drawing his blood Kirikoe waited for Koumei to unravel the scroll once done Kirikoe proceeded to write down his name within the scroll.

Well honestly not long back I asked in the RP Q&A thread as I also wanted snakes and it seems others also have both Snakes and Toads in some of their bio's according to scorps however I can have Monkeys and a custom contract on one bio and then a different contract on a different bio. just not two cannons on one bio apparently, of course he said he would double check but never got back to us.

Well I hope to have the monkey contract for a long time and since there are so few monkey trainers perhaps become a monkey shishou like yourself eventually. Depending on the rules I was also hoping to sign the snake contract however I would not have it on the same bio as Monkeys, Personally im likely to hold the monkey contract for a long time as I love the fact there is so much i can build on within the contract such as more summonings other than enma and create some monkey ninjutsu possibly, there just seems to be so much open space in this area and most of all it involves one of my most favourite myths/gods. being that the monkey contract is also heavily based on sunwukong the monkey god. Plus i love staff fighting and being that enma can turn into one just adds all the more to how long I will keep it.

Ok gotcha though there is only one summoning as of yet and that is enma himself so..

Anyways sorry about the wall of text xD im quite passionate when it comes to martial arts and things that interest me xD

With a chuckle, as Koumei observes his young student finish adding his name to the contract, he deftly grabs the contract scroll and conceals it, once again, in his robes. "Excellent. Now, before you meet the 'boss', I'm want you to perform the generic summoning technique. As you may recall, you'll need to smear some blood on the hand you signed the contract with and then perform the following sequence of hand-seals: Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram before placing the very same on the ground near your person and releasing the chakra. Do you recall those young monkeys over by the river, yes, the ones you observed as you approached me? Your goal will be to envision their physical characteristics and behavior, just as you proceed to initiate the summoning technique. The little guy/girl won't be particularly strong, but they certainly have their uses. Now, go ahead and give it a shot, okay?"

Kirikoe once again listened to the Monkey shishou's instructions "Right Shishou" Kirikoe just as he was told he bites into his thumb once again and smears the blood across his right hand, after which he begins to perform the necessary hand-seals Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram Kirikoe swiftly places his right hand on the floor and releasing his chakra which forms a summoning circle on the ground, the moment just before placing his hand on the ground Kirikoe envisioned a playful and energetic monkey, one of average height and build yet very agile, Kirikoe could clearly see the characteristics of the monkeys in his mind "Kuchiyose no jutsu" With a boom of smoke appearing a small and playful monkey emerged bouncing up and down on the spot with a very sneaky grin on its face. "Why hello there, pleased to meet you young one".

With a deep and rough voice the monkey speaks "HA! young? Who are you kidding kiddo?"

As Koumei observed his student correctly perform the Summoning Technique and subsequent cloud of smoke dispersed to reveal a young monkey, Koumei couldn't help but smile. The quick exchange of dialogue between Kirikoe and the monkey was also quite amusing. "You've done well so far, but now things are going to get rough, my student." Swiftly weaving a sequence of hand-seals: Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram, Koumei directs a moderate amount of chakra towards Kirikoe, which affects his student's nervous system via chakra distortion. The moment the illusion is induced, Koumei will disappear from sight as several bean vines emerge from the ground around and beneath Kirikoe to complete restrict movement. To complete the illusion, a bean pod rises up and reveals what appears to be Koumei, himself, even though he hasn't moved at all. From that illusionary representation of Koumei, the following statement is made: "What will you do now? You can't move, nor do I want you to use ninjutsu. Think quickly!"

Kirikoe was impressed to hear words of praise however it stopped there, before he could figure out exactly what was going on 4 hand-seals had been weaved and Koumei disappeared from Kirikoe's sight, "H-Hey! where did you go!" Koumei had completely vanished from Kirikoe, the Monkey however was unaffected it seems and responding to Kirikoes initial outburst "What are you talking about you idiot! He's standing right their!".

It was clearly a genjutsu however at this time due to the sudden change of his monkey shishou Kirikoe was caught off guard and genjutsu was not his forte, before he new it vines were erupting from the ground and his shishou appeared out of a pod, Kirikoe had realised that at this time that it was a genjutsu however he was helpless, "Oh for the love of.." -Whack!- the monkey smacked Kirikoe straight across his face in a sudden outburst of frustration "Get a drip ya darn fletchling", Kirikoe had come to his senses, revealing Koumei had not moved, the jolt of pain to go through Kirikoe's jaw was enough to snap Kirikoe out of the illusion all thanks to his companion

A generic monkey can be a great additions for aiding the user in terms of genjutsu like I have just displayed above. They would prove useful as distractions and be good additions to a persons taijutsu if the monkey were to perch on the users back or shoulder

"Ah, I apologize for the spontaneity of that particular 'demonstration', shall we call it. Indeed, never underrate a resource, especially one as intelligent as a monkey! You said summonings were a form of "companionship, something I can count on and aid me in my times of need", which I must state is totally the point of having such ninjutsu. Great! Now, your summonings can be used for more than illusion-dispersing. They can be a second set of eyes and ears or serve well as varied means of distractions in the midst of combat. Now, then, it's time to reveal the boss of the monkeys! First, I will summon him, myself. His name is Enma and I want you to take note of his abilities and characteristics before actually summoning him, yourself. Consider this a 'Meet and Greet'." Without further ado, Koumei bit his right thumb and proceeded to summon Enma, right in front of Kirikoe. "Allow me to introduce the two of you, to one another. Enma-san, this young man before you decided to sign the esteemed Monkey Contract and wishes to make your acquaintance. He shows promise in the career of a ninja and your skills can be of great service. Now, my student, do you have anything you wish to ask him?" Koumei proceeds to sit down and wait.

"Not a problem, though you did catch me quite off guard though it seems to have proved a point", Kirikoe continued to listen as Koumei spoke, finally he was about to meet the king of the monkeys themselves, Enma. Kirikoe watched as Koumei performed the jutsu and with a poof of smoke out walked a tall older looking monkey, a powerful demeanour it gave off, Enma stood tall and proud, Kirikoe bows in response and introduces himself.

"Monkey king Enma, im pleased to meet you my name is Kirikoe Katsuryoku, while I am still inexperienced I hope that you will help guide me and help me grow as a ninja and a fighter with your vast knowledge and skills and become my companion in battle" Kirikoe stands tall facing the powerful looking monkey and awaits a response

The smaller monkey that was still waiting around only but muttered to himself "Pfft suck up" Proceeded by a quick powerful glance from the monkey king himself to hit the smaller monkey which soon shut him up.

With Koumei still patiently sitting down, both he and his student heard Enma's response to the introduction. "Hmph! You're young, but then so too is Koumei, by my standards. Still, perhaps youth is what is needed? Now, the only thing left to say is that your merit can only truly be measured in combat. Always be wary and never let emotions lead your decisions astray." With Enma evidently done with the introduction, Koumei rose and at the same time had Enma 'dispel' with a puff of smoke. "Once again, it's my turn to speak, so let's cover Enma's strengths now. The first thing you should've observed, aside from his being a monkey, is his actual figure. He's a hulking brute, no? Undoubtedly, Enma's most defining qualities are his strength and speed. He's physically our superior and could break either of our necks with but a single hand. Exacerbating his already remarkable lethality, though, Enma is able to use the bulk of mainstream physical attacks labelled as taijutsu. Moreover, he's significantly faster than either of us, which means his assaults will come quicker, as so too will his reflexes. The last 'strength' I'd like to mention, is also perhaps the most underrated. Enma is fairly old, but he has a particularly keen mind. He's fully capable of serving as an adviser of sorts and you should not hesitate to defer to his instincts or statements when issues arise. Finally, with all of the aforementioned qualities laid out before you, I just wanna say that Enma's a great partner overall. He'll serve you well."

"Kirikoe, my student, now is the moment you've truly been waiting for. Now, I want you to personally summon Enma to your side. As you probably noticed, there're no hand-seals needed to call the King out, but you still need some blood. Having already met him, you should also be able to readily recall his general appearance and what not, which means concentrating on summoning him forth shouldn't be overly difficult. Once he's been summoned, we will proceed."

The technique used to summon Enma is the very same technique I posted previously. Like the vast majority, if not all summonings, the range in which he may be called forth is limited to short-range. Even so, that does not mean that Enma must stay within short-range of you, as he can move freely once he's been summoned to the field (any range).

Once he's been summoned, we step into a more 'direct' approach to learning the rest of the techniques. There shouldn't be any intent to kill, nor are you expected to utilize techniques beyond those of the contract for this method. In essence, we will be simulating a spar. That said, feel free to use the canon taijutsu list when attacking with Enma.

Description will be paramount to all following posts from this point on. The bulk of what we do will be taijutsu and bukijutsu (weapon techniques) orientated. Make sure everything is coherent, and that there're no ridiculously long run-on sentences. I want as much, if not more effort in this phase than in your Kaguya Test. I expect great things from you.

Kirikoe listened intently to his wise words, and he looked forward to fighting beside him, Kirikoe felt that they would be a great and formidable team. "I will keep that in mind Enma and I thank you for your wise words", without much further ado Enma was dispelled and Koumei once again began to speak, "Yes I took note the moment I saw him, just by looking I could tell his strength far surpassed my own and the sheer pressure he gave off was overwhelming to anyone who truly understands martial arts, you can tell by the way people hold themselves, I get the impression that Enma would pale in comparison to none and no doubt his keen mind comes from countless battles and experience."

Kirikoe continued to listen to Koumei, finally Kirikoe himself would get to summon the monkey king. Kirikoe bit into his right thumb once more and slammed his hand to the floor. "Kuchiyose no jutsu" Kirikoe as he slammed his right hand to the floor could not stop picturing the bold, tall powerful ape, his stature still stuck in this head, once again a cloud of smoke erupted on the spot of the summoning circle and out stood Enma, the monkey king himself.

"I am pleased to see you so soon" Enma simply responded "Likewise" the smaller monkey at this point was starting to get bored and spoke out "Hey can I go now if im not needed for anything?" Enma himself spoke up "Yes you may take your leave Tulu" with such the monkey 'Tulu' dispelled, Kirikoe now awaited Koumei's instructions once again.

With the arrival of Enma, once again but now by his student's side, Koumei prepared his own summoning technique. Drawing blood once again from the thumb of his right hand, instead of visualizing Enma, he instead opted for an old friend: Amon. "As you'll soon come to see, Enma does have his strengths, but also weaknesses (readily exploitable characteristics). Prepare yourself!" Without waisting another second, Koumei released a large amount of chakra and proceeded to call forth Amon, through space-time, to assist him in his teaching. "Welcome to the field, Amon. Before your very eyes is the newest addition to the list of Monkey Signers, his name is Kirikoe." In response to Koumei's words, Amon replied with: "Interesting, I take it you didn't summon me just for smalltalk?" Listening to his friend speak, Koumei couldn't resist a smirk. "Ha, you've always been able to see right through me. Yes, we'll be doing a partner spar with Kirikoe and Enma-san." No longer speaking, Koumei made just a single hand-seal before releasing a portion of his chakra out towards both Kirikoe and Enma. Immediately upon having their nervous systems disrupted by the foreign chakra, they'll be induced to an illusion in which all is pitch-black to their eyes. "Right, first up for Enma's weaknesses: genjutsu! Obviously Enma is quite capable, but what if he were induced especially to a binding illusion? You see, Enma has no capacity to use most ninjutsu, basic or elemental. His only means of escape from an illusion is via injuring himself, or getting assistance from you, yet there's the possibility of both of you being induced to one or more illusions. This time, I shall disperse the illusion, but do not get accustomed to such instances!"

"Now, next up for Enma's weaknesses are once again related to his abilities. This time, the topic for discourse will be range! If all Enma can utilize is taijutsu (hand-to-hand combat), how then can he defend against a blade of wind or large fireball? He can't! Rest assured that Enma is nearly unsurpassed in close-quarters, but he's still got to actually get within punching/kicking reach, which is far from being an easy endeavor! Do not fear, though, as we've already concluded, that just means Enma should be used in engagements where you know his power is to your advantage."

"What do you know of transformation techniques?"

Enma is a close-quarter-combat specialist, boasting incredible raw power and speed. Still, there are foes to be wary of whom also are considered such. In no particular order, they are: Raikage bios (3rd/4th), Tsunade/Sakura/Hashirama bios (also boasting as much phsyical might), and Kaguya bios (as you can probably understand). Keep them in mind! Also, be wary against adversaries whom attempt to maintain a distanced fight, namely people seeking mid/long-range engagements. Finally, as I've demonstrated, genjutsu users are a risk, depending on the technique or user's skill.

Kirikoe listened and watched as he witnessed the summoning of a monkey called Amon, another powerful monkey one not to be trifled with, Kirikoe was well aware of his own weaknesses and being that Enma was similar to him in the sense that he specialised in taijutsu Kirikoe could already picture his weakness, Koumei without further talk performed a hand-seal causing Kirikoes eyesight to blacken, hearing Enma make a slight grunt at the same time it was clear that they have both been effected by the same jutsu, after a while the jutsu was released "Yes Koumei I understand, We who like to fight in such close quarters are at a disadvantage during long range and against genjutsu however we will over come it and I will make up for both of our weaknesses within time".

Kirikoe continued to listen to Koumei and was confronted with a question, one he had never really thought much of before, "Transformation? It is a technique where one uses chakra to change their physical appearance and shape, although with the common transformation technique properties are not changed only the physical appearance, an illusion if you will you could call it, a simple reskin."

I must ask, Enma being that he can transform into the adamantine staff which is unbreakable and impenetrable in itself does his natural skin have this effect? or only when he is in staff form?

Oh btw i love your Amon summon, absolutely great. if you would not mind when this is over do you mind teaching me to summon him also =] his fire would be great with my wind techniques which I also love to use =]

Listening intently to all that his student said, Koumei contemplated it all, before nodding his head in agreement. "Common transformation techniques, perhaps, but for the next technique, you'll see that it's a bit different. Earlier I'd said that Enma had an inability to use the vast majority of ninjutsu techniques, however, that implies that there are some that he can use. Enma-san, please show your new partner, Kirikoe-kun, what differentiates you from other summonings, bar others of your own kind." In response to Koumei's request, Enma glanced towards Kirikoe and spoke: "Be prepared to catch me. In a moment, you'll see what I mean." As soon as Enma had concluded his words, he disappeared in a puff of smoke, only to reveal an adamantine staff! Perhaps two meters in the air, the staff began to slowly twirl towards Kirikoe's person. "You'd better do as he says..", was all Koumei said, with a smirk.

The adamantine staff is essentially indestructible, but Enma prior to transforming is not. Moreover, you can't use the staff to freeform block ranked techniques (bar taijutsu and kenjutsu), which means you'll still need to counter or defend/evade. That all being said, his monkey form is immune to low-level taijutsu and ninjutsu techniques (D/C).

The staff can freely extend short to long-range, without expending a move.

Kirikoe watched as Enma transformed into a marvellous and strong staff after hearing Koumei speak, heeding both Koumei and Enma's words Kirikoe quickly caught him in his staff form, Kirikoe swiftly once he caught it swung it around his body swiftly, a natural gift of Kirikoe's, holding a staff always felt natural to him rather than a sword, "Ahh, it feels so good to hold a staff in my hands and especially one as strong and as sturdy as you Enma" Enma's reply was expected "But of course, there is no staff better than I, and it seems you are familiar with a staff as well", Kirikoe simply nodded in response.

Witnessing Enma transform and his student proceeding to deftly manipulate the adamantine staff, Koumei was impressed enough to momentarily clap. "Good, so far, everything has gone according to plan. Now, I've referenced an approaching spar a few times recently, well, that time has come! Amon, monkey see, monkey do." With a grimace, as if he'd been physically pained by Koumei's words, Amon complied with a puff of smoke. Unlike Enma's transformation, though, the weapon to emerge was an adamantine bisentō. With no apparent effort, Koumei deftly caught the adamantine weapon in his right hand. Manifesting his mouth along the bisentō, Amon spoke: "If it were anyone else, I'd have lit them up like a candle." Koumei replied in turn, with: "It's a good thing I'm not just anyone else, right?" Drawing his gaze away from his bisentō, Koumei looked towards his young student with a new level of intensity. "Defend and counterattack!" roared Koumei, as he swiftly brought his adamantine bisentō down in a powerful, vertical slash. At the same moment Koumei began to move the bisentō, Amon adjusted his length so as to reach Kirikoe and Enma, whom were both 2 meters away, in front. Failure to properly defend would result in a deep laceration.
