I don't think that the So6p having an older brother is some minor detail, because Kishi could have had Hagoromo solo the Juubi like we originally thought he did. I've seen threads about also by other people about how they think his brother was the ancestor of the Hyuga clan and the Uzumaki clan. But it was stated that the Byakugan, as well as the Sharingan, is a descendant of the Rinnegan. But if Hagoromo was the one with the Rinnegan, then how is it that the Hyuga clan would be a descendant of the Sage's brother?
What if the Hagoromo didn't originally have the Rinnegan, and that it actually belonged to the brother? Maybe by the time that the two of them fought the Juubi together, Hagoromo's brother already had a couple kids, and thus by extension, the Hyuuga and the Uzumaki bloodline began. Maybe the brother got injured in the fight against the Juubi and was going to die, and asked Hagoromo to take his eyes so that He would have the power to control the Juubi if it went out of control again (thus the precedent is set for the whole eye swapping thing). After he had his brothers eyes, Hagoromo had kids, allowing for another mutation of the Rinnegan (the Sharingan), and the rest is history.
If that is the case, then this is not Hagoromo that the Juubi sees, but the brother.
If you follow this line of thinking, then I guess you could say that Naruto is the rightful heir to the ORIGINAL Rinnegan (which Hagoromo has in his skull now), and since Hagoromo is going to "entrust" something to Naruto (page 11 of 670, I couldn't get the scan to show for some reason), it might as well be his ancestors eyes. To me, this seems to support the whole "Naruto with the Rinnegan" argument?
That could also be the reason that Asura's chakra was reborn into Naruto, because Naruto felt familiar (since he could be a descendant of Asura's Uncle)
Thoughts?
