I mean really, the whole chapter was just NAruto and his "feelings" healing Shikamaru which could have taken one page, but no.

And then the contradictions: Sakura not saving Shikamaru, Naruto does, then Ino thanks Sakura i mean wtf, then Tsunade does finger to forehead no jutsu and saves Shikamaru after he was already saved.

And then Shikararu thinks he's Tobirama,

Can't even lie, Kishi was filling really hard this chapter, but it was still amazing for me.

I loved the huge movement Kishi made with shikamaru's character, it didn't seem rushed or anything. He almost died, acknowledged his dad, and got bought back to life. It was a really charming chapter really.

And you're probably just not understanding how big of a movement this chapter was... Kishi just declared Shikamaru Naruto's new body guard. He's Naruto's answer to Sasuke's Juugo... you don't think that's big? Seriously?

Probably not.
A hokage has 2 or 3 body guards, Kshi so far has only established 1, plus there's still Tobirama and Hiruzens generation of the Hokage meetings... because we know he's not going to just show the first gen of Kages and then ignore the others.

That's the problem with viewing chapters individually each week; we judge the manga on a chapter-by-chapter basis instead of volume-by-volume.

Piecing the previous manga together, chapters 645-649 all lead up to 650. I say 650 because several people believe significant things happen in the manga if the chapters end in 0.

After reading this thread I realize that some people will bitch no matter what for certain series. I guess you'd rather the manga be full of rushed fights instead? Or maybe we should just fill the manga up with comedic scenes. It's called character development. FFS, I don't even do this shit for AoT.

Agree with OP, chapter definitely was inefficient and basically flat out sucked. The reason there are people that complain about 'everything,' is because there are different people that complain about all the different parts of everything (; I personally have had no problems with kishi, but this "war" is getting ridiculous.

Next Chapter is 650,the way Kishi works His Manga the big battles and outcomes are set in 5 and 10 with the rest of the chapters as set ups to it. So chapter 650 and 655 are the big chapters on the war.

Where is the sense of danger? There's no realisticness anymore, 15 minutes before the world ends and what they're doing now is sharing their past and feelings, everyone is blowing Naruto... even the "God of Shinobi" who turned out to be a mere joke, that Naruto is the highlight in this Manga I understand, but the other characters shouldn't get reduced to "worthless" infront of Naruto.
At this point I hope Obito gets Talk No Jutsu'd so the Manga gets finished quicker.
