Shukaku

Anyone find this tailed beast a little weird? I mean he only has 1 tail so he has not shown a V1 or V2 mode via Jinchuriki. He never let Gaara sleep and when he came out in part 1 all he wanted to do was destroy so he's a lot different then Kurama or the 8 tailed.

He hasn't showed up in the war and Shukaku didn't even show up with the other tailed beasts to talk to naruto like the others.

Your thoughts on him?

They weren't red shrouded chakra cloaks though, I wouldn't consider them v1 or v2

shukaku seems pretty weaksauce by bijuu standards

Shukaku could have possibly had a V1/V2 cloak but didn't show it. What he did show was partial transformation, the same thing The Edo Jins used after their base. IMO, I think that Kishi didn't even think of 1-9 tailed beasts in Part 1 but i could be wrong

Well, he is the weakest of the bijuu and since he only has one tail he can't really have a v1 or v2 like the others since theirs is a tail progression. Shukaku's v1 is the partial transformation and v2 is the full transformation without the sleeping, when the host sleeps thats when shukaku's conciousness comes out and has more control over the body and as access to his full power. And no, its not sleeping that causes him to come out, when the host sleeps shukaku's bloodlust and will just seep into the host, causing insomnia in the host, that was why Gaara was the way he was in the Leaf destruction arc, that and the whole being a jinchuuriki thing in general.
