about 10 years on guitar and bass, piano 5, drums 7. vocals since the cradle, thanks for asking. how about you?
Started in 8th grade around 5 1/2 years ago......Currently trying to learn all of pentotonic scales, chords, Master of Puppets, etc. I started off learning Last Resort and Stairway to Heaven, yet never truly learned any of beggining shit.....very hindering to how I play and who I play with :(

What kind of music do you enjoy playing? Heavy metal, classic rock, alternative, etc...?

nice, stairway to heaven is beautiful, jimmy page is one of my all time favorite guitarists. i would learn the major scale if i were you. all of music theory and every scale is derivative of it and basically unlocks the guitar and any instrument. like the major scale in a key is I,II,III,IV,V,VI,VIII the pentatonic scale is I,II,III,V,VI of the major scale if that makes sense

and im an alternative/indie rock artist

Jimmy is my favorite, other than Henrdix. Jimmy uses the E pentatonic a bunch.
A lot of that seems familiar, but I would no idea how to put it together. The solo from Stairway is my favorite tune to play, other than Since I've Been Loving You. I would love to learn the live version from The Song Remains the Same! Nice! I used still listen to alternative rock, but I have transitioned into more of the classic/hard/soft/pshycodelic rock....and Space rock...I think thats what they coined Pink Floyds sound.

Is there a way you could link us to some of your music? I'm curious to hear.
