Specifically for his part in the war? I take it he wasn't due to his presence at the orphanage but then again he could be on house arrest. So what would be a fair punishment for his direct & indirect complicity in the killing thousands via Edo Tensei?

Actually, they attacked Sasuke first. He didn't care at all about the other Kage. Only danzo, who was plotting/carrying out treason anyway.

Makes zero sense him changing isn't going to revive all the people hes responsible for killing. Should murderers not be punished if they turned to god and became good men? Even if they tossed 100 babies in acid?

^Exactly, hopefully no one neglects the fact that Kabuto, after being saved by Itachi, revived Sasuke whom in turn saved the world along with Naruto.

I mean it's clear why he wasn't prosecuted. This is Naruto anyway, not the person, but the Manga

Kabuto was never truly evil, he was made evil by the Shinobi world. The same one that shaped Nagato.

If it wasn't for Sasuke there wouldn't even be a shinobi world right now, & Im pretty sure the leaders of the 5 great nations eventually recognized this.

Even if they wanted to lock him up, unless he went willingly who would they send to stop a dimension jumping demigod? No one, alright then.

And he would get released after helping to defeat Momoshiki cause without him Naruto couldn't have won alone so why would they imprison someone who saved the world twice. & If he didn't go willingly they couldn't have forced him anyway, they should be greatful instead of semi-resentful.


@Bold: Clones wouldn't be nearly sufficient as a means of gaurding Sasuke.

Half of the cast of Naruto should be imprisoned/executed. Kabuto for his war crimes, not to mention abandoning his village and the countless crimes he must have carried out for Orochimaru.
Orochimaru was an S-Class criminal who killed thousands in cold blood, usually for his experiments, and who is responsible for the death of the 3rd Hokage on top of abandoning his village.
Sasuke went rogue, committed who knows how many atrocities in the name of Orochimaru, made himself a traitor when he launched an assault on the summit, branded himself a member of Akatsuki at the height of its operation, assassinated the acting Hokage (Danzo), plotted once again to kill the five Kage and make himself the world leader.
Not to mention that basically everyone who ever served Orochimaru or Akatsuki should be sentenced to death.
But this is a child's manga, after all.
