Shouldn't Edo Tensei Work a Lil Different?

As we know an edo tensei has pretty much unlimited chakra, this is fine and dandy but.... wouldn't it make more sense to draw from the et users chakra? Where does the infinite supply come from? Even "souls" or Chakra left behind have some kind of limit(minato and kushina for ex.) so wouldn't getting it from somewhere make more sense? And bring a believable limitation to the jutsu? Thoughts?

because its too hax as a supplementary jutsu.
idk where the infinite chakra comes from, maybe the impure world connection keeps them at max power the same way it keeps their bodies in full contact

I think it's more like it refills much quicker due to having no mortal fatigue or stamina limits or something since chakra is half physical energy

I'm not saying it's proportionally the same, like it wouldn't sap the user of et the same amount of chakra it would of taken the ninja to do the jutsu while alive.... I just think it would of been kinda cool

They still have the same limit they had when alive (or even lower), but since they have no physical limitations they can regenerate incredibly quickly.

I agree, even if the impure world connection is added, it's flawed as both minato and kushina had limits, and even obito(when he was giving kakashi dms) had a limit.

Those under Impure World Resurrection were still being drained by the Holy Tree and hindered useless and were limited in their technique usage by the barrier put up by Hashirama or Obito. As I said, regularly they wouldn't have issues because they regenerate insanely fast.

edo's don't have INFINITE chakra. INFINITE means constant spamming, never draining, never needing to recharge.

the ego's have unlimited. Meaning their chakra supply is used but is also recharged over a quick amount of time, not that it's never depleted.


OT: the question you poses plays in part with the notion of chakra period. if you really think about it, chakra never runs out, kind of like energy -- it just takes time to recharge or reaccumulate

all Edo does is use this same notion but its just on fast forward. the time it takes for an edo to recharge their chakra when compared to a mortal is much much faster hence why it appears as if they have unlimited

technically speaking, everyone has unlimited chakra. you can use chakra as long as u want just as long as u allow enough time for it to recharge.


to draw an analogy, think about how your character in a video game heals on its own, like in Call of Duty or Halo -- you can die if you are shot too many times in succession (chakra usage), but if you're shot once every 10 seconds, you'll never die because you're allowing enough time to pass to be healed (chakra recharge)

No i totally get what your saying, but in the case of the edos it's always displayed as being quick enough to not really have to bother worrying about it in general.

I think only Madara had unlimited chakra as an edo. Minato ran out of chakra as an edo and couldn't FTG to Naruto Tobirama Hashirama etc was also limited to like 2-4 clones(granted they were keeping the barrier up)
