Shouldn't Edo Tensei clones be able to regenerate?

I was just thinking that if shadow clones are exact copies with the same abilities why can't they regenerate like the originals

And, their purpose is to dissapear after they're hit, the originals don't dissapear after being hit

Because of the properties of the Jutsu. A clone will disappear if it gets hit, whether it's an Edo or not, so there'd simply be nothing to regenerate. Not to mention just how immensely OP that'd be.

they can , but only if they aren't obliterated and if you want them too... like Naruto KCM clones..
if they are strong enough ... actually maybe they cant .. <_<

since edo bodies are kinda fake and clones are also fake it just makes them more fake O__O >_>

Even though they regenerate, doesn't mean they can't take a hit. The KB's resistance determine on your own physical power. When it exceeds the endurance, they disappear. If you use logic, you should be able to understand.

I see what you are thinking, but I don't think so.

While the shadow clones e supposed to actually make a physical body, I'd say there is a slight difference between the clone and the real one...namely the idea "shadow"

It has been shown despite being physical bodies, shadow clones lack vitality, and puff into smoke on fatal injuries as opposed to spurting blood and collapsing...instead just the poof.

I'd guess it is like a hollow body....as in a real body outer layer filled up with a shadow for a body so to speak.

I'd say the only thing like that would be Muu's body split where he literally takes his body and splits it in half.
