It's quite the opposite actually. Their's is the only story that has enough going on to make a movie.

Sasuke's transition, what happened during his journey? How did he become a person willing to accept a new family after his past? How and when did Sakura join him on his journey and what led to their marriage? Sakura's pregnancy and Sarada's birth is a pretty big deal for Sasuke given the Uchiha massacre.

It would show a side of Sasuke we haven't seen enough of, some people say it 'destroys his character', but it's the opposite, it's what made him the person he is as an adult.

The Last didn't even feel like it took place in the same world though tbf. The characters and relationships were just as distanced as the plot, enemies and environments.
