Should the Gaara/Sasuke fight in the Gokage arc been longer?

It was extremely short considering it was a rematch between two big rivals from Part 1. They should have made it epic to show how much both of these two have grown since being in the most highly hyped match of the chuunin exam tournament just a few years ago. Also it should have had a decisive winner.

It was MS Sasuke though with most of his chakra gone after fighting Team Raikage. This is the Sasuke who was losing to Mei because he had very little chakra. He would have had to use his taijutsu for the most part like he did against Gaara the first time. They should have made it an epic and competitive rematch from Part 1. Sasuke should have gotten his win back from Gaara IMO.

You are greatly underrating Gaara-sama. Have you seen what he's been doing in this war? Beat both Mu and 2nd Mizukage granted he had help from Onoki in both those battles and the op is talking about Kage Summit Sasuke not Current Sasuke. They were more or less equal at the Kage Summit.

I would've liked that but it would've been completely unrealistic considering he had to fight the Raikage [already had diminished chakra reserves] and then had to fight Mei and then Danzo. He wouldn't have had enough chakra to fight Gaara and remember, he fought Kakashi and Naruto after all that too. Mei's position should've been replaced with Gaara but Mei was a new character and needed some screen time so it makes sense.

Yeah I just think they missed a chance at a great rematch from a big time fight in Part 1. Sasuke vs Gaara was the first major fight that the anime was building towards in Part 1, even their introduction to each other was bad ass, and I was surprised to see them throw it away like it was nothing in this arc. It was epic seeing them together again at the Gokage arc but it was cut too damn short.

They should have had Raikage unable to fight any further and Shee/Darui should have helped escort him away. Then Gaara should have told Temari and Kankuro to help the Samurai ninjas get away as well. Then Gaara and Sasuke should have had a long multi chapter one on one match.
