Should the anime start to catch up to the manga?

exactly. why waste time on the fillers especially when 1. u know everyone doesnt like them. 2. people would much perfer to watch the actual story line. and 3. are already so far behind

some fillers are interesting and i dont mind them much when theres only a few but when theres a hella long string of fillers it gets kinda annoying

Fillers are made to add more detail to the actual series. In the manga because there are no fillers Naruto is clueless as to who Utaka is but in the anime when Naruto sees Utaka he will be like WTF your a jinchuuriki too? Its just stuff like that that give it extra detail. Thats what I think anyway. Good point though.
