To forgive him for his crimes just cuz he wants to join sides would screw all logic and the series would be a failure, usually it is enough to kill you just cuz you became a missin nin. Why should he get special treatment?
I think if he would join sides, the alliance leaders would accept him, use him and kill him when no one is watching.

I hate Sasuke but would love to see him being forgiven and then switching sides afterall it isn't easy to get know his brother being used by the village for the saftey of village and loosing all his parents.

Very good point, but Gaara didnt kill or attack (as far as i am aware of) another kage during an official meeting, or a high ranking of the leaf. He just killed random gennin nobodies.

Also look at it this way, right now the village allianc dont stand a chance. They are against an ems user who can use mokuton and has the rennigan, Another who has the ms, rennigan and and 6 jinchuricki paths, 7 tailed beasts, and ems user, kabuto, countless zetsu clones. The village alliance strongest hope is itachi and naruto who is running out of chakra fast.

Personally believe that the stacks are against the village alliance so much that, they would more than welcome sasuke on their side. This is why i say that if they do win the war, he would be forgiven

I think Sasuke will do something stupid like dive into a rasen-shurikan thinking Tobi will be there to save him like he did at the Summit but instead get disintegrated completely and everyone will just forget about him and live happily ever after

About the first bolded thing if u refer to tobi then no he does not have MS and has not yet shown it...
About naruto loosing chakra i think that particular clone lost all his chakra naruto is still fine.... and moving at a rapid pace...

This is why itachi is so important in this war. He has already saved naruto and bee, the two people the village alliance are fighting for, but he's also sealed a character who wouldve been extremely dangerous. Basically imagine if nagato wasnt sealed, that would be 3 rennigan users the village alliance would have to deal with.

Also his gone to stop the edo tensei tech. Anyway naruto's talk no jutsu so far hasnt changed sasuke and it cannot. Only itachi's words can convince sasuke to switch sides
